DOESN’T TELL WHO THE CALLER IS

JoanieJettie

FINAL UPDATE: So, NOW the developer “appreciates the time (I) spent writing (my) review” and claims they are going to take my opinions “under consideration.” My my, how far they have jumped from deeming my review to be nothing more than “negative review spams.” I see the developer has removed THAT part of their response to my complaint, now that I have called them out on it. Fortunately, I saved it and am pasting it here directly from their original post: App Store Orave Technologies (P) Ltd. responded to your review of Reverse Lookup . "^ negative review spam." What a load of hooey. Not only should you not believe a word this developer says — especially since they are giving everyone the same non-responsive response — you should not lose sight of the fact that at the end of the day this app is still worthless, despite all the positive reviews this developer paid people to write. FIRST UPDATE: So, six months after I leave a review the developer responds to it by determining my review is “negative review spam“? HOW DARE YOU! My review is most certainly NOT spam. My review is a heart-felt, honest reflection of my experience with your app. Do not deem my experience to be merely SPAM simply because you have no valid explanation for your horrible app. You have a lot of nerve. And, how on earth do you determine my review to be SPAM when I give very specific details that clearly reflect that I used your app? To those who read this review, take into consideration the complete and utter lack of respect these developers have for people who use their worthless app. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Usually only says if a number is a landline and the city from which the number originates. I can get that on any reverse look-up on the web. I want to know WHO the caller is. The whole point is to get a name. I put in my own number and it gave me the wrong name, the wrong carrier, and a ZIP Code that is about 50 miles away for me. Total waste of time. Deleting the app now. To the developer: I see you are giving the same response to everyone who doesn’t like your app. I don’t mind any response you might give me that has real meaning, but I don’t need you to tell me that your app is free (I’m quite aware), that it is accurate most of the time (it is not) and that you hope I will try it again in the future (it doesn’t work, so why would I).

For the most part great app

jsteb1114

I have used this app on multiple occasions and it works great naturally sometimes you can put a number in and it won’t pull up the contact however it’s better than nothing and I’m glad somebody is trying to help, please keep improving as I continue to keep using it.

So far so good

It’s working for me

Finally!

Macstout

A free reverse look-up app that gives results. Easy to use and actually works. Not perfect, but limitations of data bases can’t be blamed on developer.

1 stars

as a matter of fact

The app runs smoothly. Every time you look up a number you get an ad every time. 1 out of 15 times I might get a name, might. What’s the point? I take the time to look up approx. 10 numbers a day with this app. and it either has nothing or can’t find it. Maybe that’s why it’s free... not worth it. Just deleted it after two weeks of using it.

Change my grade.

How dare you lock up an app waiting for me to write. Because of this your app is being deleted.

Love this app

Love this app! I have used it for 2 years now! Thank you!!!

Unreliable

Beauty2blue

I get an actual name maybe 10% of the time. The rest of the time all I get is basic location information. The information I get I can get on my own simply searching google. I have been using it for a long time but it has been rather pointless. The only reason for 3 stars is because it is easy to use, I can use it regularly for the most part and part of the time I get a name. Better off just blocking any number you don’t recognize.

Outdated information

Phoneuserme

I was really pleased with this app and used it to alert carriers to their customers who were using the phone service to scam people. Then I looked up my own number and found it was listed with Sprint. We dropped Sprint NINE YEARS ago.
