I have a ge universal remote and none of the codes worked on any of my auido or tv appliances

Tried to get app. Paid. Now app won't open. Can't even get a customer service number for my refund.

The app appears to do nothing, and I was taken for $1.99. Why does Apple allow this in it's store?
