Solid game and presentation
Magnus1515

Very solid adaptation of this board game. Crisp retina display. Limited tutorial, but the rules are right in the main game for a reference. Very awesome that this was a simultaneous release with the board game!!!

a strong abstract strategy game
10.5.6.6

This is a pure, abstract strategy game. It feels like a faster, cleaner, simpler version of the masterpiece T&E. While it has many of the same mechanisms, it is clearly a very different game. The interface works well. The AI is well designed. In all, I am pleased to have this game on my ipad and expect to play often as it plays comfortably in about 10 mins.

A great app for a new Knizia classic.
TheFuzzinator

This app is for the new board game Qin by the great board game designer Reiner Knizia (Samurai, Tigris & Euphrates, many more). Qin will be familiar to Knizia fans and euro-style board games in general. It is a tile based territory control game. It is a mix of T&E, Samurai and a little Carcassonne. The board game itself is very solid and will, IMO, be another classic. The app is very well done. The interface is smooth, gameplay is nice. There are a couple of small things. 1 the tutorial is a little short, but it has the rule book included. 2 there are some bugs where the app doesn't follow the rule book when joining territories. The developer has acknowledged the bugs and says a fix is incoming. All in all a very well done app and assuming the promised bug fixes come, should be great.

Nice port
MJKiel

Game plays great; lives up to Knizia standards; my only complaint is that nowhere in the instructions/tutorial does it state how the game is scored. There is no score visible through the playing of the game and at the end, the scores are shown with no explanation. Other than that, a definite recommendation.

POS
Snowboarder Bo

Poor. Played 20 or so games and deleted it. Game rules as written seem to have nothing to do with how the game actually plays. I might try it again if all other games on the face of the earth were destroyed.

Good but crashes
dr.finn

I enjoy this game when it doesn't crash at the end of the game, approximately half the time. I suggest you wait until an update to buy. It's very frustrating, especially when it crashes a couple moves from the end of the game. The game itself, however, is solid Knizia and will probably by the board game.

Great game but has a lot of bugs
Singetex

The game is a lot of fun. When it works. The rules are unclear, and those for conquering a territory seem to nothing to do with how the game actually acts. It crashes at the end of games frequently, the hardest opponent takes forever to make moves, and at least twice is has been completely wrong in score. You are supposed to start with 24 pagodas (2 person) and the game displays the number remaining, but in the game it was the most off, it said I had 13 remaining when I already had 16 on the board. It also failed to double one. I hope an update addressing these issues is released soon. There's great potential, but right now it's just frustrating.

Excellent game!

Very nice game! Interface is smooth, AI works well. Highly recommend!

The AI players cheat
Obiofulious

Good game overall. It's an otherwise solid implementation of QIN but set back by AI that very obviously knows what your hidden pieces are. The computer players make moves that would obviously be strategic mistakes, but happen to be good moves only because of specific pieces in your hand. Other times, they avoid moves which would obviously be in its best interest because they are defending against a piece in your hand. The AI is obviously cheating. Other than that, this is a good game, and well produced. But the developers skimped on AI logic and took the easy route.

Classic Knizia
Loganeer

Masterpiece. Excellent AI.
