5/5 stars
"The story along with the illustrations would have been sufficient to earn our recommendation, but the interactivity has been perfectly fit into context in this beautiful and very special app. Worth every cent and much more."

"Red in Bed is a delightful app. Having read it several times already, I think it may be one of my top five storybook apps for toddlers."

"fun and educational!"

"The app is very simple to use: when your child taps on a colour, it jumps up and sounds a note – and you can ‘play’ more than one colour at a time so it’s great fun for little fingers."

---------------------------------
Red In Bed is an original story about the colors of the rainbow who on this particular day cover for Red who stays in bed, sick. It is written, illustrated and developed by Josh On, an interaction designer who wanted to keep the simplicity of a classic children’s book while adding a layer of gentle interactivity to help involve the child in the narrative directly.
Each color has a note which sounds on a tap, together they can be played like a musical instrument. This interactivity is aimed at pulling the child into the story. As each color goes to saturate objects of the world in their hue, the child reader can touch each object and it will fill with that color and play the color’s note.
My 20 month old daughter could not get enough of this book. After reading the book together, she went to her reading chair and continued her exploration of the book for over and hour. It is not very often you find a book or activity for an older infant or toddler that is educational, fun, and allows for personal creativity. Five stars all the way!
We also appreciated the option to keep the "u" in colour!
Even with a LOT of apps on the family iPad, our youngest keeps returning to Red!
This is a wonderful app that kids will love, especially at bedtime as they help Red's friends fill in for their buddy when Red is feeling under the weather. A lovely lesson about colors and friendship.
This is a beautiful story about helping each other out! Great story for little ones!
I just got this app for my kids and they can't put it down. Do your kids a favor and get them this app today. It's so hard to find engaging and educational apps and this one fits the bill.
My son loves to follow this story and the beautiful music that accompanies it. A wonderful and creative app for children learning colors. Highly recommended!
I don't have any kids yet and already spent one hour on this. So awesome!
This app is absolutely adorable - beautiful art style. Love the deeply satisfying sound effects. Super cute story and concept for teaching colors et même en français! Great app all around.
My two-year-old loves making up songs on the title page and interacting throughout the book. We are looking forward to a sequel. Perhaps the colors can go to the zoo?
