Frustrating

Great concept and it could be fun if it wasn't so hard. It just ends up being frustrating. I've tried the first level in the Cold War "carrier shadow" at least 50 times. Your either too easily detected or you move to slow. The AI gives you zero margin for error. Way way too tough. Buyer beware.

Not a realistic game

No way does even somewhat play like a sub game - practicing being quiet and evading enemies isn't rewarded, and outrunning subs and torpedoes is ludicrous. The app controls also slow down when you need them most (like taking 5 taps to activate) so you will never win. Poor game and execution. The 1990's game 688 was far superior to this.

Enjoyable But Not Great
WhiteRabbit1066

I have had some fun with this game. I found the missions in the first campaign to be challenging but somewhat boring. I am half way through the second campaign and it is more combat focused and more fun. Not great but I have enjoyed it so far. The new update with the improved sonar helped!

Awesome For A History Buff

I really like military history and this game. The context is awesome considering I remember some of these events. If you like military history and technology you will like this. Probably won't appeal to everyone though because it is not a run and gun action game.

It Took A While
Rebel 3CX02

Well I finally played through all the missions in all 4 campaigns. Originally I wrote a 5 star review but now I am giving it 4. The gameplay is tedious at times and exciting at others. I think the final campaign was something of a let down. I eventually earned 8 of the 9 awards which added a bit of extra challenge. I wish the end game would have left me more fulfilled. Maybe some kind of a kill board or something. I respect the fact that the developer has updated the game. I think the changes from version 1.0 to 2.0 improved the gameplay. I also appreciate them responding to my email questions about how to complete a mission. thanks.

It's OK

Played through the free content. It's OK but not that great.

Fun........ But hard
AwsomeGuy500

This game is so fun!!!! The only problem with it is that it's so hard to destroy enemy submarines, it's like the game wants you to fail. Other than that, it's so hard, and the controls are weird.

Quite Interesting!
Rinky, The Betrayed

I like the historical accuracy, and the challenge of this game. However, gameplay can get tedious at times, but is exciting at others. What DOES need to happen is if the In-App purchases are fixed. When that. happens, I'm hiving this a five star. Simple, yet striking game.
