Great game
Dude240

This is a smart and easy to pick up game. I only wish more people played. I’ve always been a fan of turn based strategy. Really all this game needs is more players. The build a map opens so many options.

Quite underrated

Simple and good

More Commanders + Terrain.
Buttaman12

This game is like Advance Wars, and I love it. I have two suggestions: one is add more terrain like mountains, hills, trenches, canyons, and deserts. I’d also like to see new commanders added with new units: like a battalion that consists of aircraft that can bomb, strafe, and even transport troops across large distances. This game is great and I can see the potential in the game.

Simple yet deep, addicting multiplayer

What an amazing game! It’s a turn based strategy that is quick to pick up but makes you feel there’s some skill involved. Being turn based, multiplayer games are great for on the go, where your opponent makes their turn and you make yours, a la words with friends or old school play-by-email strategy games. On the surface it’s simple, but surprisingly deep with a variety of different factions with different units. It’s like an isometric Advance Wars, in a way, but with a multiplayer component. Honestly I wish there were more players playing this for the matchmaking.

The best strategy game there is!

Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant!

Just not very good.
tortex73

This is just a basic no frills strategy game that borrows every single idea from far better games. The production values are incredibly low, like iOS 2010 low, and it's just plain boring. The other reviews are clearly fake- aside from the fact that you can tell they were all written by the same uncreative person (likely the same uncreative person who made this game), they just don't describe this game at all. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time.

Great Game! However....
RTS-Gamer99

This game is fantastic. It's everything a strategy fan would like: ambushes, tactics, and skill. It truly has the potential to be my favorite game on iOS. However.... I was disappointed to find that you need to pay to unlock further "Commanders" and there is no way to unlock them through playing. So since it's only random battles with no campaign with the same commander over and over, it can get very boring. A solution to this would be to add a ranking system, which allows you to unlock different Commanders by doing X. Also, add a campaign to further help this problem. Lastly, it would be even better if you could play local through Bluetooth/Local Wifi

My God. This game. Buy It!!
Lost in Tactics

To Long didn't read: You're dumb if you don't buy this game. Want to read? Enjoy: For you TBS gamers out there. Remember playing Civilization or Civilization Revolution? Remember the feeling of using a Civ and learning the in's and outs of that particular Civs unique abilities? No, we don't build empires here. Nah man. This diamond of game is all about *Team Tactics* This game, taps into that realm of thematic abilities. What do I mean by thematic? Each commander has his own abilities - and by abilities I mean his own unique units that help influence that particular commanders theme into the board. But you still don't know what I mean by theme do you? Fine, let me explain that portion. Imagine a magic the gathering deck that specializes in the *discarding* theme, well, all the cards in that deck would consist of cards that help keep the discard theme present throughout the match right? Your opponent should constantly be discarding cards. Well same here. Each commander has his own unique theme. This is not a card game so no discard here. But... The Phantom Brigade. They focus on decoy units, scouts to psyche out the enemy and smoke ability to either fool the enemy into thinking that deployed smoke, that just blanketed a tile in front of a whole armada. Could that be real units? Or fake decoys as my real units sneak from the other side for a flank. Or vice versa. Point is. The theme here is decoy (or if you want to stick to magic) illusions. And that's one commander out of many with very exotic themes true to military engagement. Once you crack past that initial stage of learning a particular commander. Through the mistakes, you will uncover prior unseen combos, synergies, traps. Soo many synergies and combos I am surprised a small indie company was able to pull off such stimulative game. I highly, HIGHLY suggest, try the free version, just don't be surprised when your wallet decides to open up on it's own. This game is a blessing, a gift to the turn based tactics genre. Let alone, the ability to have it with you in your pocket for that quick addiction fix. When you play it, you immediately pick up on the fact that a lot of heart and soul was poured into this game. I admire Devs who come out of nowhere and punch you in the face with something so special as this. To me. This is a classic. I've gamed 37yrs. I've yet to encounter a military tactics game, this easy to play but deep with tactics and importantly for new comers to the genre - you don't even feel encumbered with choices. It's more of a natural progression. And as you progress the many avenues of tactics will just naturally open up and you will be awed by the combos and synergies you will be pulling off based on your theme style. I hope they come up with more cool ideas for future unique and commanders. Devs after getting a year of iOS time with this game. Definitely bring this to XBOX One, PS4 and PC. This game needs exposure. It's definitely a classic. I can see monetary tournaments being setup for this game. It's that deep and joyful and thus far very well balanced. Not to mention it's not slow has a good pacing. I would say upbeat. If you read this far. What are you waiting for? go buy it. I'm done here. I have a Phantom Brigade to master then going online for some mind vs. mind action.

I've been playing for a while now and I really like the straightforward prices. This game doesn't beat you over the head with ads or make you pay for lives. I saw on the Facebook page that commanders will go on sale so that is just another gamer friendly feature. This is a lot of fun and I've already played some really tough opponents.
