Still one of the better apps

Even tho they just put ads in the app and didn't outright say so in the update, this is still one of the better gay (and fetish) apps out there. The services and app are quick and responsive, messages go through, and the app doesn't crash. One thing that would be nice is for those that pay for the site's premium services to not have ads on their mobile app. That alone would make them feel better I bet.
Now with ads and still buggy.

The latest update simple added ads without fixing anything. The app won't notify me of new messages unless I manually open and check, yet it tells everyone I'm logged in and active. Once I do open the app it then says I have new notifications even after I viewed everything. The app won't actually cache anything. It reloads all messages every single time you open a message. If your internet connection drops everything immediately vanishes. If it is supposed to do push notification, why does it not also download the message like every other app with messaging? The apps text is hard to read, and it is impossible to make larger. If you set your phone to use large font, the app just ignores this. You also can't easily copy and paste things even into a message. It's one thing to try and have a captive audience, but the app is so restricted it actually hinders using it to communicate.
Do not update.

I've used recon for several years and sadly this update is probably the worst update I've seen in an app. Least with the website the ads make since this set of ads are mostly phishing scams. I've had it twice now give me a pop up notification saying my iOS had a virus and the pop up stuck within the recon ap itself. Sadly with the ads now I don't foresee using this ap anymore until it improves.
Adware blows. Get a life, Recon!

Doing my bit to reduce the star rating for Recon after adding very annoying ads. Sorry Recon: may your market share slowly die and your profits suffer.

Notifications quit working. Please don't ruin this app

Notifications are no longer working. Please fix - and please don't spam this app with ads. I'm a paying customer and don't need to be bombarded with more ads. Please restore the quality of this app as it was a few weeks ago. One star until notifications work.

New to this, wanted to try it out and meet like-minded men. Unfortunately anything worth anything requires paid membership, including "limited daily profile views." What the heck? That is the stupidest thing ever. Now I can't even use the app for its purpose unless I pay. I feel coerced into giving them money. Not having it.
Ad that automatically take you to App Store

The app now has ads that automatically take you to the App Store without you tapping them. Also have popups that warn your "data is at risk". Not worth the download.
