Kakuro is a world phenomenon like Sudoku. It is like a crossword puzzle with numbers. Each "word" must add up to the number provided in the clue above it or to the left. Words can only use the numbers 1 through 9, and a given number can only be used once in a word. Every kakuro has one and only solution, and can be solved through logic alone.

Please note: We had a hard work building those 400 puzzles and are offering them all for free without locks or having to ask user to pay for additional puzzles. And we know how annoying ADs are. But we need them to keep this game live and updated frequently. We give the option to remove all ADs (including the popups) via in app purchase.

This is a great app to play on my iPad. However, each puzzle is static - that is to say, you can’t zoom in and must play with the entire puzzle in view. Because of that, playing on my iPod touch was nearly impossible, as my big fingers would tap on the wrong squares two or three times before getting the one that I wanted. If you have a larger device and like Kakuro, then this is by far the best app. It also provides another useful puzzle source for old-school pencil-and-paper puzzlers like me. I take screenshots of the blank puzzles and print them out to do them by hand. With the high resolution quality of iPad screenshots, they come out fantastic, even when I print them on a full page at about 8x10” (on a standard 8-1/2x11” sheet). So if I don’t want to lug around my iPad (like when I’m waiting in the car to pick up the kids from school), I have a few of the printed out puzzles on my dollar store clipboard and I don’t have to worry about screen glare or battery charge. Also, the quality of puzzles here are MUCH better than others you can find online - I have tried dozens of websites and it isn’t even close.

Love real kakuro, and the 20x20 looks like fun...but my eyes need the zoom feature. I'll wait for an update that includes that...then make it 5 stars

Excellent Kakuro app. 500 large puzzles for free. Very good UI. I recommend it for fans of Kakuro.

This is a great app for kakuro fans. I'd like an option to turn off the auto calculations down the bottom for an added challenge because now I feel like I'm dependent on it. Great app otherwise!

Love this app! Large enough puzzle to be challenging, with enough solvable cells to be managable. Just wish it would have the option to erase entries until solvable. By the time I figure out I've made a mistake, I'm not sure how many entries to erase. Fun anyway!
Much improved, no more crashes

Ever since the last update, it has crashed. The challenging and extreme levels are really challenging and fun. But I am running nearing running out of games.
