This app has absolutely changed my attitude towards NexGen as it has streamlined our baseball broadcasts, remotes & engineering. Super convenient & effective.
Loaded the app and got great support getting up and running Keep in mind this app is not like GO TO MY PC You do not have control of the studio as you would with a VNC or go to my PC But it is very helpful while moving about Your day
The app works great on my iPhone, but freezes, crashes, and doesn't load completely on my iPad2.
Very effective and easy to use. Great for checking up on stations in emergency situations. I've already used it for weather warnings and updates. Still a bit sluggish at times. And I would love an update that allowed me to insert songs or spots by cart number and a segue edit feature. But so far, so good! Keep up the great work.
RCS support is great when it comes to a paid contract for NexGen. But their phone support of this app is nil. Furthermore, when phone support is requested, their cop out is a spec not mentioned in their end user documentation. If you don't have VPN connecting iOS device to NexGen, they won't help with app connection problems. Good luck!
Works great on 3G, 4 and gen 1 iPad. Poor to no performance on 4s and iPad 2. Too bad. The app is really handy but seems that it is not being updated to be compatible with newer devices or perhaps the newer os. The issues I've been experiencing are not exclusive to me. I've seen others on the RCS community site that report the same issues. Works fantastic on older devices. Get it working for newer devises/os and will give 4+ stars.
We were considering purchasing iPads for each of our 4 stations and using the RCS Remote for "live" broadcasts while out at remote locations. Good thing we waited because we now know that this app has little to no functionality on new iPads (anything beyond the 1st Gen) and also doesn't work on iPhone 4S. These issues are known to RCS but they refuse to acknowledge this on any of their documentation or on phone support until you finally call to let them know you're having problems. Also, we're now down some cash from the VPN service we purchased because we were told we needed it. Wasted a tremendous amount of time and frustration on something that was never going to work and on something we would have gladly waited on exploring if only the specs/support had been clearer (upfront) on the devices that the app DOESN'T work on. Will there be an update? Or is this it for what could be a wonderful tool.
So far so good on this update. Works great over LTE and RCS has fixed the freezing issue when changing stations. Valuable tool
The new version just released has IMO fixed the bugs and it works as advertised now!!
Back to 5 stars. New version works as promised over 3G, and VPN connections.
