The raw food diet is a derivative of most vegan and vegetarian diets, and it is based on the belief that the most healthy food for the body is uncooked. Although most meals are eaten raw, heating food is acceptable as long as the temperature stays below 40 °C (104 °F) to 46 °C (115 °F).

Cooking is thought to denature the enzymes naturally present in food. According to raw foodists, enyzymes are the life force of a food, helping us to digest food and absorb nutrients. If we consume too much cooked food, our bodies are forced to work harder by producing more enzymes. Over time, a lack of enzymes from food is thought to lead to digestive problems, nutrition deficiency, accelerated aging, and weight gain.

Cooking food can also diminish its nutritional value. For example, the cancer-fighting compounds in broccoli, sulforaphanes, are greatly reduced when broccoli is cooked. Certain vitamins, such as vitamin C and folate, are destroyed by heat.

Cooking also promotes the formation of potentially harmful compounds in food during high heat cooking, such as advanced glycation end products and heterocyclic amines.

A raw food plan is by nature low in fat, and this cookbook is a free and easy way to get your started on leveraging the power found in eating these super foods.

Good app

I'm impressed with the recipes and how easy they are. Looking forward to them.

Unimpressed
Nejlet

I'm unimpressed with the recipes but gave it 3 stars cause as a free app it's worth the download to check out.

Simply the best
Ultimategal85

This app simplified the way I took food. Atleast I now know what to eat next instead of searching for vegan recipes on the internet.

Love this app and it’s easy to use with many different recipes for my meals.

Amazing app!

This is the best raw diet app ever. As I am new to this app, I can only say is that the app is very well organised with lots of options for recipes.

Smooth Interface

I am using this free app for quite a time now and not a single time it had crashed. Awesome diet app with a very smooth interface.

Terrible
Photomom39

Only gave me 12 recipes! And if u search by star rating, there are zero! Wish I could rate zero stars!

Extensive list of recipes? Where? Can't speak for everyone else, but it might be a good idea to let people know that in order to look at the "extensive list of recipes", you have to pay for the update. I don't like getting excited about an app that doesn't deliver what it claims......deleted.

Well, it's free!

I didn't think this app was too bad. Yeah, it only gives you 12 recipes, but hey it's free! Doesn't mean you can't try these 12 recipes! I haven't looked through all of them yet, but the ones I have read look really good. My only complaint is that they don't provide any nutritional info, like calories, fat, etc, on the recipes. I would've given them a much higher rating if they had that, more so than if they had more recipes.

You get what you pay for...

This app has very few recipes. This app was not worth the time it took to download. I'm deleting it.
