Only 6 puzzles? Poor choice in app purchase on my part.

Ravensberger Puzzle

I like the puzzles, enjoy playing. Ravensberger has been my favorite puzzle company for years. It's fun to do them on my iPad. I do find the pieces a bit small. Perhaps there is a way to make them larger, but I haven't figured it out.

That moment you realize...

... that you have spent the last two hours using your iPad mini to put together a jigsaw puzzle and come to terms with how awesome that is! I enjoy this game enough to consider making some purchases for different puzzles.

Great puzzles, then there's everything else

The puzzles and presentation are great, but then you get frustrated by everything else. Buying coin packs to purchase individual puzzles, no thank you. I'd be fine with something like a bundle of 10 pictures for a certain amount, but when the coin packs don't add up to an even number of pictures so you have coins left over is annoying. Also, the fact that coins can only be purchased rather than unlocked (how about scores without using any tools?) is rather annoying. Even a low, low acquire rate would be fine. Then there's operating the puzzles themselves. There's some weird magnetic feeling going on where pieces seem to bounce away from each other when moving them around and trying to snap two together. And it is way to easy to accidentally rotate pieces. Simply moving them around almost always rotates them. I'm much happier with other jigsaw apps that don't carry the same rep as Ravensburger.

$2.99 for 6 puzzles!

What happened here? Great puzzle interface, however, if you have to buy the app it should come with more than just 6 puzzles. You give "token" coins but I realized quickly that I was short about 50 coins to purchase even 1 pack, thus forcing a person to buy coins! Not good! I don't care how good of a puzzle maker you are.

Great puzzle fun without losing pieces

Love doing puzzles on the iPad. So easy to build with all the challenges and no frustration of losing pieces.

Enjoyable

Fun and enjoyable.

Decent, with a few glaring needs

I've always respected Ravensberger, so I hope they'll continue to improve this app. I'm not a person who whines about spending money on apps, if they're worth it. I spent money to buy the app and I spent more on coins to buy puzzles. However -- it just feels wrong, the way they've done it here. There are no ways to earn coins to purchase puzzles. Getting 3 stars, with tools or without, gets me nothing. I bought a puzzle pack in the beginning, not realizing this, and really regret it, as I only like a few of the puzzles in the pack. It basically works out to about a dollar a puzzle, unless they're part of a pack, then it's discounted 10-30% per puzzle (but you have to spend about 7-8 actual dollars in coins). Something I've seen mentioned many times is the need to be able to lock the puzzle frame to the table, and I could not agree more. It is so frustrating to be rotating a piece to fit it and instead pick up the entire puzzle and rotate that. I've seen this in reviews from several versions ago, so I'm not sure they care or intend to fix the problem. I've downgraded a star for lack of customer service -- I used the "contact support" button weeks ago with a question, and haven't heard anything back. I'd like to know what happens to my coin purchases if I delete the app and then reinstall at a later date. Until I know, there is zero chance of spending any more money on coins.

What a Bummer

Ambergamoo

I have tried four times to do a selected puzzle. Each time the app crashed before I could even see the puzzle pieces. What did I pay for? Several days later: Still a bummer. The app crashes virtually every time I play. And very slow to reload. This app is just too stressful.

Extremely sharp pictures and lots of options

I love puzzles and have slowly added digital puzzles to my collection due to the perils of living with a cat who loves playing with puzzle pieces. I have played another very popular puzzle app for a long time but wanted more features and mostly sharper images. This app is soooo good. You can play up to 500 pieces, the shapes are much more varied and it's so much more like a real puzzle experience. It is worth the low price to have this kind of quality at your fingertips.
