Wonderful replacement for Tunemark

As a long time user of Tunemark, I was very sad to see it go. I have been looking for a straight forward, simple replacement that gets down to business and plays music while telling you who it is. This is that and more. It incorporates the ability to mark songs as favorites, but also has a song history and you can get artist information with a single tap. The only things I don’t see that Tunemark had were on screen volume control, buffer indicator, and a visualizer, none of which should penalize this near perfect app from getting 5 stars. If you stream music from internet based radios stations, get this app.

I’ve been looking for an app to stream my home radio station from Shoutcast ever since Tunein dropped the feature. Such a simple, sleek app. Metadata populates flawlessly, easy to setup, consistent and reliable.

i was looking for an app to listen to my personal shoutcast radio and found many of the other options on the app store tedious to use and littered with advertisements. some of the other apps i tried would annoyingly disconnect and have to buffer again randomly, and i found this very annoying to deal with. when i downloaded radiofonic i was pleasantly surprised to see a clean and sleek design, with easy to use touch gestures. i was also looking for an radio app that properly sets the metadata for the music widget and this does it perfectly, unlike most other apps i tried which either set the artist field to the name of the station or the app name. overall i would totally recommend this app over all the other options for its simplicity and down-to-earth feel. great job on the app devs!

It’s hard to find apps that simply play streams from custom URLs. But this does exactly that! If it had an Airplay button on the playing screen, it’d be perfect!
