Great music, terrible app!

Finally an update, the only one since Sept. 2014. The music is really great, with so many channel choices, and in my experience, a stable stream. The addition of AAC for premium members solved stuttering problems. The app however is really bad. The latest update removed the in app volume slider, and it's never had a landscape view. A premium membership also gets you premium membership in Digital Imports, a jazz, rock and roll and a classical set of streams, each with their own app. Problem is, there's no app built yet for Classical, and every one of the apps has a set of problems that aren't being addressed. I've been a premium member since 2011 and probably will remain so, but these apps need major attention from the developers. When contacted about problems, the almost canned response is...it's being worked on. Comments about past outages only received angry replies about being under staffed. So in summary, the stream is stable the music is great with high quality sound, and the apps and customer service are terrible.

After waiting so long for an update, this is so-so

Nice to finally get an update to Radiotunes app. Lots of "under-the-hood" changes to make it work better with iOS 9, and some minor UI changes, none of which I would say are that great. The apps works, which is important, so I'm not complaining much, but some things are not quite right yet. Album art is missing all over the place. By far, the channels I listen to just show the channel graphic instead of the album art. Just asthetics, but they should have complete album art for everything they play. The app itself can take an uncomfortable amount of time to start. Once the app is up and I choose a channel to start playing, it takes twice as long (or more) than the old version to actually start playing. I like the "Likes" list. While I'm driving, just tap a (very small) button and it remembers the song info and puts it in a list for later. To people that complain they they can't "replay" their "Likes"...this is a radio station program. The music is LIVE, not on demand. There are other services for on-demand if that's what you want. I contacted support a few times and they responded quickly, although I too got the "we're working on it" answer on some things. Time will tell. Overall, I'm glad we have a modern version of the app to move forward with. The old one was...well...old.

Poorly thought out

Why are you so stupid?

I have used this service for years and you are systematically ruining it. First you blocked third party apps and changed your online site to flash only which is not supported by iPhones. Now you discriminate against people with older devices by forcing an upgrade that's impossible. The iPhone 4 cannot upgrade beyond ios7 and your app required iOS 8.2. I'm sure older iPads, which are still in use, can't upgrade either. I can't access your material at all now. Way to go jerks.

Shame on you !

Colossos42

I am a PAYING customer and because of your forced upgrade I can not use my iphone4 anymore The contact us (to complain) conveniently does not work Save your self and DO NOT support this. You will lose money like I did

Lame Update

Mobile_guru

I am a premium supporter. You've got to be joking! Still no iPad version, no landscape mode and now volume slider and next/prev are gone!

Horrible app

Dcgfvfd

Took forever to start.

Where is the timer

Lamfox91

Previous version of this app has the timer for the music to stop automatically. But after the update this feature was gone. This is so inconvenient. Could you bring back this feature?

3.0 --> 3.30 fixed nothing.

network admin guy

The biggest issue I've had with 3.0 was that some stations did not show the correct album art or song information. Now after 1.5 months and some versions we, the public, never saw, we are now on 3.30 (what happened to 3.1 and 3.2?), and got what? "Better integration between website links and the app."? What the heck is that? What they forgot to list in their release notes is that they switched the positions of the thumbs UP and thumbs DOWN from what they were in 3.0!! Those that aren't paying attention are giving a thumbs DOWN to their favorite tunes! WHY SWITCH THEM? And still, album art is missing (completely missing) on some stations and the song/artist info still wrong. Thanks for integration-thing though...I guess someone needed it.
