Killed feeds for “shelfies”

Maat13

You used to be able to chat with other users in feeds for the fandoms and Quidd announcements. You also had a feed for just your friends. I guess they didn’t like us comparing notes on issues. Now we have “shelfies” where people post a pic of some of their items on fake shelves. And there is ONE feed just full of Every Single Stupid “Shelfie” from Everyone. NO fandom feeds. NO way to chat with groups about a release or announcement. MASSIVE lag-an ongoing issue which seems worse with the update. Trading is really slow and difficult which makes people spend more to complete sets, which I now think is deliberate. When we could still discuss as groups, tons of people opposed selfies and having to see every post from everyone. QUIDD IGNORES ITS USERS AND DOES NOT CARE. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY!!! BTW-Developer response stuck at bottom has nothing to do with this new review.

Shelfies: Neat idea, bad execution

PLEASE bring back the friend feed. I don’t want a bunch of randos in my feed posting stuff I don’t care about. I want my friends back. I don’t hate shelfies. I think they’re neat. I hate what the feed turned into.

Quidd needs to go back to basics

PrettyGirlBPD

I started using Quidd in February and have been mostly happy until recently. Aside from terrible customer service (it shouldn’t take over a week and definitely not a month to respond to support emails), I didn’t experience a lot of the common user complaint until the previous update. After that it became a combination of lag and random shut downs that made it virtually unusable at times. Trades were so slow people would often have traded items in new sets away before I could even get the trade screen open. When new sets were released it would tell me no items were available or take so long to load that lower card count items were gone before I could even see the packs. Now with the newest update none of those things have been fixed and the new features are terrible. Trading is no longer front and center in what is supposed to be a collecting and trading app. The new shelfies feature might be tolerable if they didn’t only give me a public feed. Every app with a social component from Twitter to tumblr allows you to curate your feed by friending/following who you choose and only seeing those posts. Friend feeds were a large part of the community feel of Quidd and a huge component of trading as many often request help from friends with specific sets. This has definitely decreased the overall quality and enjoyment of Quidd. TLDR With the latest changes Quidd is not worth updating or downloading at all. They need to focus on the original purpose and their users rather than pumping out a continuous stream of useless new features.

better used treatment and better speed

I've always enjoyed Quidd because of the fun stickers and my ability to use them for messages. However, I've always had a few problems. The two constants are horrible lag and bad user service. With the past update (shelfies), the lag has only gotten worse. The constant barrage of virtual shelves holding stickers and cards is annoying and creates even more lag within the game. Quidd has definitely lost a few stars from me. Please listen to your users and take our feedback so we can continue to use your app.

Good, but slow and basic

I have been using this app for a few months now and it's lots of fun! But there are definitely quite a few issues with it that need improvement. First of all, it is EXTREMELY slow. It's really hard to make big trades because it takes 10 minutes to offer up 100 stickers. And my app generally crashes or takes a few minutes to load every time I buy a sticker pack. I also dislike that whenever someone starts a trade and then it either ends or expires, the notification that there is an active trade going on is still there and it's just kind of frustrating because with how slow the app is it takes a while to open and close each and every trade just to get rid of the notification. I also think that there should be some sort of built-in guide that determines the price value of Sold Out stickers. And I like that people are able to trade stickers, but I also wish we could buy them from one another instead (hence the price guide). Certain sticker sets are also confusing when buying packs, for example it will say it's a pack for 3 stickers from set 1 for $2,500 and there's another pack for 3 stickers from set 2 for $1,000. Let's say I want to buy the stickers from set 1, I'm totally willing to pay the extra $1,500 but when I buy the pack I end up getting stickers from a bunch of different sets: set 2, 4, 5, etc but none from the one I thought I was buying them for... (I have this problem mainly with Bobs Burgers, my favorite set). Overall, I do still enjoy the app but there really are some things that need to be fixed to make it more user friendly

The update is terrible

The new FORCED Update is TERRIBLE! Roll back the 2.0.10 iOS update.

The latest update is terrible

No more Quidd news feed. No more fandom feed. Shelfies are not I,pressive and now they are all we can see in the feed. We liked to comment on upcoming sets in the feed and on the Quidd news updates. All of that has been taken away. And the app lags even more than before. Such a disappointment.

Quidd Doesn’t Care About You

Teacuptardis

After spending nearly a year on this app, collecting stickers of my favorite fandoms - it’s come to my attention that Quidd doesn’t care about it’s users. Not only do they not care, but the community can become toxic because of how the app is set up. Item values are set but people do not abide by them and they often expect too much for the item you’re interested in. Quidd doesn’t even focus on its main issues, instead they take the good parts of their app and they turn them into something the user hates. Honestly, it’s too much to explain in a review. Unless you’re rich, have too much time on your hands, and love to fight over digital content then this app isn’t for you.

Quidd Won’t do better

Quidd has the potential to be a really great app. But they completely ignore and disregard the opinions and preferences of their entire user base. I have been playing for almost a year and watched the steady decline of the app from Free to Pay2Play. This last update they have planned (with “shelfies”) has been negatively reviewed by the beta testers and rejected by the community. They are still forcing the update regardless. This shows a huge lack of consideration. Money is their only goal. You’re better off taking your $$ to a store and buying real stickers. Or just download a regular emoji app. Because BTW the stickers from this app don’t even work in texts or chat messengers nicely, cards and most animated stickers don’t work either. So try your hand at this app. But don’t be surprised if you leave disappointed.

Removing Features

notmarrec

Quidd started out great but they’ve been slowly removing features and making it more pay to play and less free to play. Decided to write this review because they took away the ability to comment on releases and have a general forum, making it way less social and more of a store than a community.
