This App Rocks

Great earthquake app. Probably worth $5 with push notification and decades of earthquake events worldwide. I'd give it 6 Stars if I could!

Great Quake App

07/08: I noticed a couple of negative reviews below and am updating my comments. Whenever I've experienced any slowness with this app it seems to be because I'm on a busy cellular network (AT&T in LA rush hour rather than my Wi-Fi at home). The app can handle a lot of data, and the quality of the network connection does seem to make a difference. 05/15: I absolutely love this app because it shows all of the earthquake aftershocks too. Very simple push notification may not be for everyone, but it works great for me.

Not the best deal in town

It jammed on the July 5.4 quake in Southern Cali. Now the filters are f'd up it doesn't report properly at all any more.

I really like this app! The recent 5.4 quake had a bunch of small aftershocks and you can see them... they're still happening all the time. I used to use another earthquake app but all the data disappears after a week or so. This one shows data going back for years.

Buggy

After downloading the latest update for os 4, on an iPhone 3GS with os 4 software, this app no longer loads. When it does work, it is convenient for checking the latest activity as well as history for that area. However, it will not directly link to the USGS site as in some other apps, and the data load is slow. Overall, Qzones Pro is okay when it does load, though it is a waste now that it won't open. Save your $1 for an app that works!!!

Most powerful earthquake app

YesNoCancel

I've tried 3 other competing earthquake apps and this one is the best. For the simple reason that you can select any time period and magnitude range you want. It's not perfect yet- there are a couple minor issues that could be improved. But the developers are very responsive (more so than any I've come across) and I'm sure they will be addressed. Overall a powerful and well-designed app.

Update: With the latest release I find that upon loading it does not automatically refresh as it once did, IF you had previously loaded and exited from it sometime earlier. ------------------- I was told by the developers that the ONE and ONLY difference between the PRO version and the free version is that you are alerted IMMEDIATELY of a large earthquake. Well, we just had a 7.2 earthquake near Indonesia and I was not pushed an alert at all. I found out on the TV. Only much later did BOTH versions list the earthquake, and at EXACTLY the same time. What's the difference then? And I'm STILL waiting for EITHER app to push an alert to me. So in the end, for me, there is absolutely no difference between the PRO version and the free version. Oh, and PLEASE get rid of the stupid banner text at the bottom of the screen. It is as annoying as any advertisement.

It's o.k.

Does crash a lot - wait to purchase

Wait until they get it right

Missed the recent quake in NH. If this app misses the action.....what good is it?

You all blew it and let all of us down

Your product used to work and I loved it but.... now you couldn't even get an alert off for one of the largest quakes in modern history?? You have let me an everyone else who depended on your product to be alerted. I'm very disappointed and I'm sure everyone else is gonna be to when they wake up and see what they missed! Please FIX IT!!! Wanted to give you one star but I have faith you will FIX IT! Right???
