Stopped reporting CPU resources after firmware update

Jim15034

I finally installed the latest firmware on my TS-451+ and the application no longer shows anything for CPU and memory use. The firmware has been out for a month or so. This app needs a refresh.

Great app but last update crashed the download station

Winnietseu

I've been using this app for more than one year and was very happy with it until I updated it last week. Since then the download station has not been working any longer. Can anybody from Qnap sort this out? A pity because this is a great app! Thanks.

no longer functional

Jimmay40

Now requires use of QID/ cloud service - direct local-only usage no longer works. Phoning home should NEVER be required for me to access my own device on my own network. Latest versions of app and NAS firmware 4.3.3.

Fails to connect

I have used this app in the past. Since updating QNap server and app, I can no longer connect via app using all connection methods. All log in and security verified, can see my QNap, but will fail to connect every time.

QNAP TS 451 (self upgrade to 4GB RAM) 4.3.3 QTS

Personally I’ve been rather HAPPY with Qmanager but admittedly not running VPN’s and running macOS Sierra (held off on AFPS filesystem) but ready for the H265 “takeover” and need for CPU’s supporting hardware acceleration. Meanwhile this app has even been able to indirectly tell me we had power loss, to receiving QNAP warnings has been helpful in ways I didn’t even consider! Now SPEAKING of power loss, can you manage any QNAP server and do things like Check Filesystem on a mobile OS? I’m not sure? If so it’s not as obvious as I’d like. I’d like to run backup station to my hard back up remotely and haven’t done that either, but being able to use Download Station and even Container Station so I don’t even have to surf a father in law’s (IT guy) home WiFi and use my own at home for “everything” and can still have movies and shows ready to watch on PLEX on the guest room’s Smart TV while visiting on Christmas is pretty amazing and never gets old! I WOULD like option to pay for Dolby multichannel patents like we can to use ExFAT now? Qvideo or Qmedia is pretty much useless until we can unless I’m doing something wrong? I’m basically using 3rd party players like PLEX or InFuse the HAVE or even VLC (after iOS 9.3.3) and scratch my head how a freeware app was able to utilize Apple’s patent payment (of do “something”) to circumvent the issue of AC3 and DTS? I know this review went rogue and off topic but I thought we were PROMISED a transcode that would work on any device when I purchased and when support for Dolby Audio codecs were pulled in a deceptive Qvideo update I thought it would be the FIRST thing on the list and YEARS later I’m still without the ability to play a single DTS or AC3 (anything but AAC basically) multichannel video or movie without using an external player? Thank GOD you have supported and even expanded that list or I’d be stuck with PLEX only (love them btw) but always good to have alternatives. Just let us PAY for the codec support already?! GEEZ...
