First introduced in 1982 by Gottlieb, Q*bert was critically-acclaimed and went on to become the one of the most successful arcade game of all time. It inspired home versions, a variety of Q*bert merchandise, numerous copycat games and even an animated TV series.
Q*bert Classic stays true to the original in all its jagged 2D pixel art glory, now optimized for touch screen control. As the title character, players jump around an isometric cube pyramid and convert each blockís color while avoiding familiar adversaries Coily, Ugg, Slick, Sam, Wrong Way and Red Ball. Levels become progressively harder with more enemies blocking your path and the tiles requiring multiple jumps to change to the required color.
Q*bert Rebooted takes the arcade classic and catapults it into the 21st century with 3D game play yet remains faithful to the original. Featuring hexagonal blocks instead of squares, Q*bert Rebooted introduces new enemies, playable characters, power-ups, traps, gem collecting and characters, and new ways to play.
1. Just pay the $1 to lose the ads, there are a lot of them and it's totally worth it. They don't make the game for free. 2. Controls aren't hard at all - don't tap the corners, just tap on the pyramid in the direction you want him to go (next cube or any cube in the same direction). Easier than the original. 3. Wish they had an option to play the classic game (which is harder but better IMO) with new hires graphics like the reboot (which isn't bad and is a nice bonus, as the original is worth a $1 easily, by itself). 4. This was such a clever, quirky, innovative game, it's nice to have it back.
This is the best game ever! It’s like, AMAZING! I love Q*bert! U guys r awesome on arcade games!
What first annoyed me was the insane number of ads, even for a free game. I'd pay for the ad-free version, but the controls are so wonky, I just gave up instead. Some sort of virtual joystick would be better than trying to move but getting stuck or jumping in the wrong direction.
If I could get the hang of controlling my Qbert critter this would be a decent game. But, I give up. I gave it 50 games but I keep jumping off the side where I want to jump the other way. And nobody got time for that.
I paid for this app and still hounded by ads. No way to contact developer. Reporting to Apple for fraud
The app’s audio is so quiet that it impossible to hear well short of being in the most quiet of environments. Ads can be overbearing
This was my all time favorite arcade game as a 12-15 yr old . The music and sounds of the game are the best part and I wished you would have included it. You play the opening music and then the sound mutes and then you have a little at the end. The music and sound along with the action gave this game its charm.
It's a good game but since I can't even start a single game without being forced to watch at least 3 ads in their entirety it's become completely miserable to the point where I don't even want to play it. I've never been this inconvenienced on any game before. Way to many ads! Literally every single time the screen changes you are required to watch an ad, even if are simply going from one menu to the next....ad in between. Deleting the app and making sure I don't download anything else from these sellouts who made this ridiculous app
