Quick Start Guide:
Setup and Installation
- Connect the power adapter to the PIPCAM
- Connect the network cable from your modem to the PIPCAM
- Upon initial startup, the PIPCAM will take 1 minute to boot up
Connecting to the 'Pyle IP Cam' App
- Download and install the app
- Tap the 'Add Camera' icon
- Tap the 'QR Code' to connect the PIPCAM to your device
(This will open your device's camera; snap a picture of the QR code located on your PIPCAM)
- If prompted, enter the default password '000000' (six zeros)
Wi-Fi Setup:
- Make sure the antenna is connected to the PIPCAM
- Run the 'Pyle IP Cam' app on your device and tap 'Cameras'
- Tap the arrow on the right hand side of the added PIPCAM and goto 'Advanced Setting'
- Scan for available Wi-Fi networks and connect
- The PIPCAM will then reboot; it will disconnect and reconnect via Wi-Fi
- After the reboot, you can disconnect the network cable
It need and arrows to be easy for navigator .. It take long time to do just with finger on screen!!!!!
It's very easy to hook up It took me 5 minutes to setup and I can watch my home.
The app is easy to use & set up. These are very easy to set up. I have two that I use in my home. It takes 5 minutes to set up, and it gives what appears to be clear picture, on a cell phone, however, on my iPad, it's a very grainy depiction. The sound is very clear, when you want to listen to the sound in the room. However, when you talk, it's a very quiet sound. My dogs don't quite hear me. I have tried and compared these to the Belkin IP Night Vision Cameras, and I think this one ranks higher, because you can actually move this camera around.
The reason I got this camera was to watch my apt when I'm away traveling. Works good for a few days then occasionally going offline. Reboot is again not working on the app still goes offline. Very frustrating! LITERALLY 5 days and NO CAMERA AND REBOOT DOES NOTHING. I keep reducing the stars on this app and camera. USELESS!!! Wish trouble shooting or customer forum existed on website to help with issues since there is no customer support number.
Camera keeps going offline randomly and no way to reconnect other than power off and on.. Not good..not ok.. and certainly not a working product for remote use. Unfortunately the support is also very weak. Cannot recommend at this time until much more robust which is a shame as the camera quality itself is good.
The app will shut off after 30 minutes of use. This only happens when you are connected to the wifi. If you are using your data, it will stay on forever. I think this needs to be reversed. If I accidentally leave it running, or want it running all night, why would I want to use all of my data!
