PXL2000 - 80s Pixelvision Cam

When the camera on your rad new iPhone is just too good, desperate measures must be taken! Do it the wrong way with the retro 80s Pixelvision PXL2000 look. That's right, when you're sick of the super "high-quality" VHS camcorder glitch filter look, it's time to take things to the next level of awful video quality. Think: toy camera. Because that's what it is. Good luck even figuring out what you just shot! But hey, that's part of the fun, right? RIGHT?!?!

Be one of those old dudes or dudettes that gets excited when they see some old piece of vintage video camcorder gear. Share you videos on Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat. Tell your friends you've gone retro. See if they stick around. Probably not.

This app is awesome, so don't believe the haters. What do they know? Hey, they're probably still shooting video in 4K. What a bunch of dorks.

LOVE this app, hope that eventually there is an option to import videos as well (like in the VHS Camera app)

Better than paying through the nose for the real thing.

I’ve always liked the concept of recording video to an ordinary audiocassette, but was dissuaded by the high price of even a partially working unit. Based on actual footage from the real thing, I also dissuaded by how the microphone picks up more of the grinding from the cassette recorder than what’s actually being filmed. When I found this app, I knew I had to buy it. The app gives me everything I wanted from the hardware, without the astronomical price, the cassette recorder’s grinding noises, or the risk of ruining a perfectly good audiocassette, the latter of which is getting harder and harder to come by. Only one suggestion, though: I agree with others that the ability to import video would be a very welcome feature, though I think the app is already very good.
