With Pushpin it's simple to add POIs with lots of detail. The tagging structure for editing OpenStreetMap can be pretty complicated, but Pushpin makes it much more user-friendly to contribute. It has built-in rules to know when to ask if the venue has Wi-Fi (for things like hotels), what sorts of food the venue serves (for restaurants), and more!
Browse or search POI types in a logical naming system, without having to know the specific tag names
Add points of interest in your current location, or manually place them on the map
Fetch existing points from OpenStreetMap to edit or reposition
Geocode addresses with Nominatim (the OSM geocoder), to save time in typing address information
Built in search to find other locations to edit
Use aerial imagery or standard OSM map tiles for reference
Easy to use app to add nodes to OSM. Intuitive and elegant. Makes adding data to OSM extremely easy, even for beginners. One thing to make this even better would be GPS trace and editing.
Nice execution of a simple idea: add waypoints to the OSM database from a phone. The program uses an intuitive interface and the presets make it easy to make good-enough additions without a lot of fuss. It's a bit crash-prone, but future updates might fix this. And I'll rate this higher when that day comes.
I've used a buggy crashy version of this in the past. Haven't had a problem with the current version even with heavy use, and over 3G. Intuitive interface that I would never have thought possible with OSM. And fast too.
I am a heavy OSM editor and I rely on this app nearly every day for on the go editing. The UI is very well thought out and there is handy tool tips and documentation for every function of this editor. It's also very stable and reliable, even though it seemly hasn't been updated in years.
Nice interface. Finally a way to edit away from computer. Great contribution!
