Bought this on a whim to entertain my kids on a road trip. Wasn't expecting much based on reviews ... what a pleasant surprise to find out just how fun it was --- not just for the kids, but for the grown ups too! I have no other apps like this to compare it to, but it kept everyone entertained. Being able to add our own "characters" from photos made it more personal and just added to the fun. Honestly don't know who enjoyed the silliness more --- the kids or mom & dad.

Students love to make movies with this app, and they can do so easily. My students make videos to review reading texts, act out the story from books they read, and explain concepts from the course. As my students are Muslim females, the ability to create videos without their images in them is very empowering. I can't recommend it enough.

I am an educational technology specialist, and Puppet Pals HD is, hands down, the finest app for publishing animated versions of student work. Students can take photos of their own drawings and record their voices as their pictures move around the screen. It's great for biographies, facts and virtually any project may have been a poster, paper or presentation once upon a time. This one is absolutely essential for all educators. It's easy to use and super intuitive to use... even for year olds.
