Broken

Moobies24

The game is great, I just returned to replay it anticipating the release of the second game sometime this year. I started a new character and didn't make it far in the story until I got to a part that literally forces you to click the stupid glowing suitcase. Can't skip, go back to the map, nothing. When I click it it takes me to black screen, can still see the top stat bar and hear music but nothing else. Soooo the game is broken with this dlc release. Please fix and I'll change rating to 5 star

Amazing

I never write reviews but this game has it all. Great story, interesting strategy, and cool retro graphics. This game sucked two weeks from my life and now I'm sad that it's all over. It's a must buy.

Interesting, but irritating

Sir Hardy of Beijing

The game concept is good, but the more you play it, you get annoyed by it. The stats decrease way too fast. You have to spend lots of money on food, you have to eat alot of food to sleep properly for energy, to get full energy requires alot of time, when one game-day is over, your stats decrease greatly, have to maintain by training whoch costs more food, have to work (which depletes energy greatly) to buy food. And that's all to just train. Fighting is even more irritating. Can't control your character. Even when I managed to get high stats that my opponent was way lower than mine. It was supposed to be a sure win, but my character just stands there absorbing strikes. WHAT S**T IS THAT?! Even if he blocks it, he gets hurt more than he should. Your game perks and mechanics are secerely lopsided, and makes no sense. I refuse to play this game anymore, regardless of how interesting as it could be. It's just irritating. Period. UPDATE: Gave it a 2 star, now downgrading to a 1 star. Developer received fair amount of criticism about the game balance, and instead of working it out, decides to just turn off the challenge factor. That’s just being lazy. Gave it a chance; now getting rid of it forever. Not a bad game concept, but don’t like the developers’ arrogant attitude. “SUUUPER EASY” I can’t believe the developers were stupid enough to miss how arrogant & lazy this would be.

iPhone X users be warned for now.

Great game all around, but needs to be updated for the iPhone X display. Otherwise portions of the screen are cut off.

Love this game

I've been playing a ton of Punch Club over several months, so it's about time for me to rate it- my very first 5-star review, if I remember correctly. I'll start with the negative: Punch Club is not for everyone. The game is all about planning and understanding its intricate systems and dynamics, which leaves little to no room for action-based gameplay. The RPG progression elements in the game's experience gain and stat growth can leave more casual players feeling stuck, and the game's combat is as non-interactive as it gets: You just tap the Fight button to start a fight, and watch as skills, stats and luck determine who wins and who loses. The music is so-so and very repetitive. There's an annoying bug where the progress window for delivering pizza disappears and can even corrupt your savefile if you try to Save & Quit when that happens (the correct thing to do is to close & reopen the app). On to the positive: This game was made with love. Lots of love, and lots of labor. Aside from the one bug singled out above, I have not encountered any other bugs in dozens of hours of gameplay. The artwork and animations are minimalistic but polished, and the aesthetic design is familiar and pleasing. The skill trees are well thought out and provide plenty of replay value. The progression of the game's tone is very well handled and does an excellent job at driving home just how far ahead you've come. The game is difficult but fair, and rewards you for learning to play by its rules. Some may see the game's lack of interactivity during combat as a drawback, and for the PC version of the game, I can agree. For iOS, on the other hand, I see it as a game being designed around the device's hardware limitations; action-heavy gameplay is terrible with an iPhone's control scheme options. This game was designed for smartphones and tablets, and plays best on them. I see the game's lack of interactivity during combat as a definite design success. I played the hell out of this game many months ago, and recently the Dark Fist free extra content released and I'm enjoying the game again. If this type of game sounds like something you might enjoy, I strongly recommend you buy and play this game. It's fantastic.

Great game, takes some practice

activelifejs

It can be frustrating at first but once you learn what's worth spending time and money on, it gets more enjoyable and fun.

Very fun/addicting but lots of glitches!

T West420

I spent probably 15 hours on this game despite it constantly crashing on my iPad. Everything was going well despite the crashes and the game is just what I expected. Then I start doing the expansion quests. All Hell breaks loose. After losing a fight the game decides I beat the bosses and sends me to the final video for the expansion even though I just started it and it ruined the ENTIRE STORY. It literally gave me a video that ruined everything and spoiled the entire expansion for me. I switched to playing on my iPhone and crashes have stopped so far but the entire game has been ruined for me already. Very frustrating. To the idiot that said play it on your iPad... Its way better on iPhone.

NEED HELP

I'm using my iPod and when I'm in Apu's store I can't exit out. Can anyone help.

Grind Club

This got boring fast. Nice graphics though.

Frustrating, Glitchy, Unfairly balanced

IB2 Reviews11

I have to save and exit every 3-5 minutes because I am unable to tap on anything in the game due to it freezing or something. Having you lose stats makes sense "phsyically" but game-wise, it just makes for a bunch of grinding. I don't care about balancing work, etc. when the main purpose of the game is to have decent enough stats to WIN fights. Also, I can't even click on at least 3 of the menu items for food because it's on the bottom of my iPad screen and the scaling is off. Had a fun 2-3 hours, won't be playing anymore.
