Komische Spielweise und Art zu reizen!!! Ramsch und Bock, aber kein Schieben beim Ramschen! Gute Graphik, einfache Handhabung

IMO, this is the best-looking Skat game for the iPhone. I've tried the demo versions of iSkat Lite and Peter Heinlein's Skat, and Pro-Skat is cleaner, more elegant, and more iPhone-like. I'm relatively pleased with the AI strength. I'm not a good enough player to gauge exactly how well the computer plays, but it's significantly better than Xskat (I know, not hard) and seems better than iSkat Lite. The only issue I currently have with Pro-Skat is that it feels slow. I don't mind waiting while an opponent "thinks," but the movement of cards into the center, and the time it takes a bid button to pop up after a previous bid, seems longer than necessary to me. I've notified the developers, and they responded very quickly. It sounds like they're attuned to users and how to make the app better (For example, by adding a "claim" button so players don't have to sit through 6 or 7 tricks needlessly.)

It's a decent implementation. The AI is fairly basic, with the one or other flaw. Peter Heinlein's Skat AI is more sophisticated, but also has some annoying flaws. Overall it probably has a slight edge over ProSkat. On the other hand I like ProSkat's support for Bock and Ramsch rounds. ProSkat's animation is pretty but slow, I'd rather have less animation for faster game play. The cards are scaled up in the bottom display, and size is reduced when they are played. I think the size of the cards in the middle is unnecessarily small. Overall it is enjoyable, though will not pose a challenge for an experienced player.

If you want to learn Skat this is a good app, however, prepare to be frustrated. When the computers are playing against you they NEVER make a mistake. They always know the perfect card to play because they know exactly what you have in your hand...even on the first play. Then when it's you and a computer against another, your computer team mate becomes completely worthless. It would be nice to see the developer add a little randomness to the AI. It would better simulate playing against others in real life. Even the best Skat player in the world cannot anticipate every single game. After further hands I have to come back and rate 1 star. The developer should be ashamed on how bad the AI is for the computer players. It is so cheap how they know what you have before any cards have been played. It is nearly impossible to win a null round as they always know exactly what you have in your hand and where you weaknesses are. In real life there is of course a chance of them guessing correctly but not EVERY SINGLE TIME. Save your money and buy one of the other skat apps. When you can never win unless you have a perfect hand that is no fun. Seriously Dev, do some better programming instead of the laziness exists. Or if you don't know how go take a programming 101 class.

The new version (aug 2015) is good for the PC but is terrible as an app. Hard to move cards, harder to configure cards (ie club, spades, hearts, diamonds, grand and null). I hope they can modify the app so it can be more iphone friendly. Right now they took a great product and made it horrible.

I played the old version all the time and loved it. With the new version there's so much wrong: -game freezes during bidding, I lose 338 points (connection is fine) -no more "Give Up" option when there's no chance to win -German deck option doesn't change other players' cards to German deck -I lost my previous profile information and points because my email was shut down. Took hundreds of hours of play to get there. The new version is just terrible. They need to update it significantly or I want my money back. This is the only negative review I have ever written of an app
