What is Processing
Processing is an open source programming language and environment for people who want to create images, animations, and interactions. Initially developed to serve as a software sketchbook and to teach fundamentals of computer programming within a visual context, Processing also has evolved into a tool for generating finished professional work. Today, there are tens of thousands of students, artists, designers, researchers, and hobbyists who use Processing for learning, prototyping, and production.

Processing was initiated by Ben Fry and Casey Reas.

Good but...

The text increases in size and becomes unaligned making it hard to add to and edit the program. Please fix.

A couple of issues
mikeisthe

I'll admit that I only worked with this app for like 30 seconds, but there are a couple of issues, which I noticed right off the bat, which make using this app an unpleasant experience. There is no copy / paste functionality, backspace deletes just one character at a time... If these are cleared up, the app would be a lot better.

Update, please?

A cute little app for testing out code when you're on the go. Syntax highlighting is nice. But at this stage it's better for brainstorming than for actually developing anything. Great potential! But too tedious. In hopes of getting an update soon, I'll reiterate what other users said about the need for: - copy/paste - fixing the bug that causes the text to suddenly become big and the cursor to misalign - landscape mode - ability to save code without having to hit the Run button. Only had to make that frustrating mistake once, haha - but this means I also want the ability to delete a sketch - ability to export a sketch outside the app, perhaps as its own app? - an in-app reference pane, instead of simply a link to the processing.org reference page. Although, that is better than nothing Overall, great potential! If these suggestions are addressed, this is an app I'd pay for.

Nice start

Happy someone implemented this idea- but it reaaally needs a basic export/email function to be useful. For some reason select all isn't working for the DIY export..

A work in progress, incomplete

The lack of support for pasting in code from other apps stopped me in my tracks, I see a lot of potential for this work in progress, but at this time it is woefully incomplete.

It stopped working

Although it is really nice that there's a processing app out there, this app has stopped working after a few hours of use. This app also lacks cut/paste functionality and it is really difficult to get the blinking caret to go to specific areas in the code.

I love Processing, but this app doesn't live up to its potential

Processing is awesome, and I fully support it! However, the poor quality of the code editor makes this frustrating to use. It is hard to move to a specific location in the code, and more importantly there is no copy/paste functionality :( Another way this could be improved is adding a more explicit way to save your work. I lost a few minutes of programming because I returned to the list of projects without compiling first. A good start, though! Very cool to see processing on iOS!

Needs pasting!!!!!!

Nice app, but they really need pasting functions!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had a program I emailed to myself and copied, only to find I couldn't paste!!! Please add!!!

Alright

The actual Processing aspect of it works, but there is no way to rename or delete sketches. Also, there is no way to stop a program once it is running unless you exit the app and kill it.

Pasting function!!!

If you want to paste code in this app double tap the line you want to paste to then tap paste. Developers: Maybe you should make the controls more clear in the description, otherwise this is a good start for the app version of Processing...
