So good it sticks with you

Adventurelover

This is a truly wonderful point and click adventure with very good art, voice work, and a fantastic story. By far the story and writing is my favorite part as the game tackles ideas such as sacrificing individuals identities for the sake of a more efficient system, which plays neatly into the question of the machines being more like humans or still just devices used to improve the system. Great game, and a very good IOS port. ?

Reminds me of kings quest but better!

seasjay

Excellent story! Game play is similar to kings quest, but far better, darker, deeper story. If the story is the most important part of the game them get this, if you want action and fighting, this is not for you.

Has its flaws, but great story

Pros: Great story and voice acting, beautiful "retro" graphics, some optional storyline choices/actions Cons: Battery-burning app, AWFUL item detection on screen

Poor Graphics

Hangandsteve

The graphics on my iPad Air are very pixilated, and it's hard to know what I'm looking at, even though the pictures in the App Store look crisp and clean. In the few rooms I've been in so far, it's been hard to know what objects are in view. Also, dialogue text appears and disappears very quickly, resulting in my not catching all of the plot. If I continue playing, I may upgrade this rating, but for now, the graphics alone make it too difficult to consider finishing this game. I recommend reading other reviews to see if these comments are trending.

Yes, but its great..

As per a previous reviewer, I also found the graphics quite hard to see on an iPad. Despite that, I gave the game five stars because I loved it.

Great throwback to the classics...

This game really nails it on atmosphere and mood which is a big reason I love playing these games. You really get a sense of immersion in the world with this game and it's a cool world. Also has a a good bit of wry humor but it's not overdone. Voice acting is great and writing is really smart. I play a lot of the newer point and click games and this one definitely stands out.

Oh man.

Love the voices. The graphics are exactly the way they look in the description box so it's difficult to differentiate objects from stuff to pick up. However, the game will let you know anything you can interact with around you so it's not so bad. I think it's suppose to be a logic based game, but even as a builder, I found myself frustrated very quickly and not having fun. For an example, you can't use the data cable as a lasso for the lamp in the beginning. Cool. Its not a rope. Got it. But later on you get your floating robot buddy, crispin, to use it as a rope and tie it off somewhere up high so you can climb it. But, Crispin constantly complains about not having hands, soooo. Hmm. I'm sure things start making sense later, but I'm not interested enough in the characters or the gameplay to keep going. After about 2 hours, I'm kinda done. It's just not for me.

Game breaking bug

John Jolley

I LOVED this game, but it crashed on me towards the very end of the game, when you use Scraper's arm on that door. Can't get past it - so disappointed!! I've seen this is an issue for the PC version, is there a fix for iOS??

Brilliant storytelling
