Ok, but not a great variation of a classic

Heroic_Sheperd

This version doesn't allow for a ton of strategy. I'm aware there are numerous variants to every card game, but the version I grew up on allowed much more strategies than this. 1. 2s don't clear the board, they do remain the highest. 2. The 5 of diamonds (and only this card) is a clear, this limits the board clearing to one card. 3. If a player lays a card, and the next player lays the same value card (ex. 7 and then another 7) the 3rd player in that line is skipped. 4. When all 4 cards of the same value are placed within the same rotation, the board is cleared. Couple examples, ex 1, if player 1 lays a 7, player 2 lays a 7, player 3 is now skipped, player 4 lays a 7, player 1 is now skipped, and if player 2 has the last 7, that player can clear the board with the 4th 7. This also works with doubles, if player 1 lays 2 7s and player 2 lays 2 7s that will clear the board. 5. The 3 of clubs always starts. These variations allow for much more strategy.

Who plays this way?

Not the rules. Pretty weak effort.

Missing Variant

Berzerktank

Missing pass 3 cards left before every round variant and pass high cards from President to Scum and Vice President to Vice Scum (catch up) variant. Very close to good but not quite there. Rules are key in a game like this.

Best app ever

Worst game I got this so I could play my favorite card game but the computer games mode is on like 5000 so I end up with a 7 and still can't play for about 7 more turns and I end up scum without even playing

TRBL

This app is terrible. It's not even how you play presidents. For one, one two can clear any pile even if it's doubles or triples. Second, you can family cards at any time which means if there are threes jacks in the pile and you have the jack and it's not your turn you can play it and it clears the pile. Third, let's say someone plays a five and then the next person plays a five then the person who's turn it is next gets skipped and it goes on to the fourth guy. The only exception is when you can family. Fourth. You can't play a two on a pile that has no cards in it. If you use a two on nothing because it's your last card or is the luck of the draw, you become automatic scum. Fifth, the prez can take any card from the scum even if it's not there highest card. Sixth, the president always starts. The scum never goes first. If you play it this way, the games a lot more intense and fun to play with friends. Don't waste your time with this TRBL version of presidents.

Almost fun

Not sure how all these other people play but in the options you can change the game play to how your custom to playing the game. I have the perfect settings for how was taught the game, however, it is imminent that you lose. After 3-4 wins as president all your cards that you are dealt are below face value and almost no doubles. An impossible game to win is no fun.

Good game

I really wanted to give 5 stars but there is always room for improvement. Not much room though for this game. Gameplay is fun and long lasting. I would add some fun features such as making new rules after 3 consecutive presidencies. (Players could choose from a predetermined list made by app creator). I was always a fan of turning a skip into a reverse. I also would like to see an option to do a play to "x" amount of points. Another similar app has vice scum & scum subtract points in the same way pres and vice pres gain points. I've only been playing for a few days and if I think of anything else I'll update. A few more tweaks and options and it could be GREAT!!

Needs rule improvement

I always played this game with the completion rule. A player can put down all 4 cards of the same value if they can even if it's not their turn and the player to do so can start a new trick. Also, it'll be great if there can be a rule added that the 2 can clear anything including doubles. So a single 2 can clear doubles or triples. I've always played by these rules and I hope they can be addressed.
