I am really excited that John Deere has released this application and I will be using this often. Reads the barcode easily and displays pertinent and accurate information. Now we need the service advisor application to go with this. Bravo John Deere!
This is great way to go Deere now just give us one that will give machine option codes. Keep up the good work.
The barcode scanner don't work to scan the serial number and it can't find the number if you manually enter it so it is useless
Tried both JD tractors I have and neither the scan or the manual search brings up any information. It is easier going to one of the many online dealers and using their parts search.
Well besides that the scan or manual entry didn't register the big diesel sitting 6' below me, it also ate my review the first time. When it is bad, it stays bad. Steve
Whatever was done with the current update needs to be undone. The scanner for the serial number doesn't work and also when you manually enter it, it still does nothing
Spend that kind of money on a tractor and according to the app, the serial number is not valid. If your going to release an app, at least have a user friendly error pop up that recognizes the model number within the serial number and says something like 'we are constantly updating our serial number database, please check back'. Instead, it makes you feel like the tractor is stolen. I had high hopes for this app.
If you're going to make an App make sure your entire database infrastructure contains your customer's serial numbers including those you have installed in the tractors you sell regardless of who manufacturers them. If it says John Deere it's a John Deere not a Yanmar!
Why release an app that's this useless? Was there no testing? This deserves no stars.
