In POP UP CRANACH German Renaissance artists Lucas Cranach the Elder and Lucas Cranach the Younger playfully present their work to the contemporary public. POP UP CRANACH will introduce you to a side of the artists that no-one has ever seen. It’s because you are in their workshop, creating new compositions with their help.

Lucas Cranach is considered one of the most important and influential artists in European history. Much of his work was created in a tempestuous period of religious revolutions and wars. His friendship with Martin Luther helped to spark the Reformatory revolution.

POP UP CRANACH the exhibition, is a project by Alice - Museum for Children at the FEZ-Berlin and the Luther Memorials Foundation of Saxony-Anhalt in cooperation with the National Museums in Berlin. POP-UP CRANACH is funded as part of the 2017 Anniversary of the Reformation by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media by an act of the German Parliament as well as by the Capital Cultural Fund and the Federal State of Saxony-Anhalt.
