Find the translation you are looking for in our dictionary database with over 14 million words and phrases in entries which our PONS editors edit and certify to uphold the quality that PONS is known for.
The languages included in the app are Arabic, Chinese, Dutch, English, French, German, Greek, Italian, Latin, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Slovenian and Turkish. In addition to language combinations with German you will find dictionaries for language combinations such as Spanish-English, French-Polish or Portuguese-Spanish. You have access to 40 dictionaries in all.
If the translation you are looking for is not found in our dictionaries, the app automatically switches to text-translation mode. Within seconds this extra service lets you roughly translate simple sentences and texts for all of the languages of the PONS Online Dictionary plus 16 additional languages such as Hebrew or Japanese.

The example page is for a German dictionary, but a polish dictionary was downloaded. No option to change the language in the settings. Not useful if I want to look up German words.

Not great because the last 5 words I tried to find in Russian did not exist and it could not find the word I was looking for, so that made me sad. :( .

It was pretty cool, sometimes appeared an Ad but lately almost everytime i look for a word appears first an Ad and it is pretty annoying.
Main search screen error

This was the most useful dictionary i ve ever used. But now it has a disturbing problem about search screen. When you search a word on the main screen, it goes to the results. But you don't have to go back to main screen to make another search, because on the top of the result page, there is another search bar. It was working but not anymore. Pons should fix this bug. It is a real time wasting, specially if you use dictionary frequently.
