Unusable—ads constantly rearranging content

I simply can’t use this app anymore! I’ll start reading an article and suddenly the paragraphs shift up or down so they can splatter a new ad in front of me. It’s horribly disorienting!
I have used this app for years

I have used this app for years. I’ve been reading politico every day on my phone since at least 2014. It is by far my most used app. The new update is not good. Much less functionality - too crowded with ads. Videos play when you don’t want them to play and then you can exit out of them. This app was at its best when it was pure print articles with little else.

The font is way too small to read. I see no way to adjust it. It apparently isn’t adjustable using the Apple font selection in settings.
