The “free” version of this app is so heavily loaded with obnoxious commercials that it doesn’t really work anymore. I’ve stopped using it.

This app used to be great. Then the ads came. While I don’t mind ads, these are so intrusive that the app much of the time becomes unusable. Sometimes you have to restart it because it won’t let you close an ad.
Widgets are extra??

(Version 101; Original Review Feb. 10, 2021; “Scanner Radio”) Bought the pro version on Android for a one time fee. This iPhone version wants me to pay a monthly fee for the rest of my life. $$$$ No thank you. (Also, seems to be no way to have my Android purchase count toward the pro version on iOS. I wouldn’t mind purchasing the pro version of this app on iOS for a 1-time-fee like I did on Android, since it is a different platform, and obviously must’ve taken time to develop on here as well, but I’m not paying for a subscription.) After I start listening to a channel, a full screen, full volume advertisement video starts to play. After I close it, it is followed by another full screen ad right behind it. Two back-to-back, as if one (along with banner ads) is not enough. No way of recording without the pro version.

Great app but this doesn't work on Apple Carplay anymore. It doesn't load the audio. Phone is up to date, app is up to date and so is my head unit in the car.

I paid extra to omit those incredibly annoying ads. So I now have Scanner Radio Pro for $2.13 total. The problem is that the purchase is ONLY working on my iPhone. It’s not working on my iPad. Hey, for a total of $2.13, I can’t imagine it’s that big a stretch to cover BOTH of my IOS devices. Also, if this fee was only meant to work on one device ONLY, then you’d darn-well make that clear before someone make the purchase.
Casio Ad takes over phone. Unable to use app.

This application is plauged by a casino app that takes over the whole screen that does not allow you to leave. you must force close the scanner app. Terrible uninstalled app. Great way to get malware. Avoid.
