Better after update

*Update* 9-9-16 I'm starting to regret having purchased this. I checked my purchase history on iTunes and I was charged $4.99 for the game instead of the $3.99 it showed in the App Store. I e-mailed support days ago and have yet to get a reply. When the app updated it was finally working the way I had hoped it would, but days later it stopped working again, at least as far as finding Pokemon. It's been quite a few days now and it keeps saying could not find a match in my area, yet when I scan with my other app as well as open my game, there are a bunch of Pokemon. Had to lower my rating sadly. ? *Update* 8-30-16 I am happy to say this latest update fixed a lot of issues. I've only used it for a little while so we will see how it goes for the next few days, but so far I'm pleased. I live in a small town and it's actually finding Pokemon and displaying them as they appear in the game. The filter option is fixed as well. Thank you for listening to users! Niantic could learn from this. Oh yeah and just a moment ago it helped me catch a dragonite! *Old review* I paid the $3.99 for this app based off the video I saw showing all the great features. The version I received was not the one in the video. The app creator let the people that happened to know that the update was waiting on approval by Apple and should be live in a day or two. The version I originally got didn't scan for Pokemon but it did let you see spawn points, stops, and gyms. I was able to update it today and I like the layout and new features and the fact that there is an option to scan for Pokemon now. However here is the problem, it never finds any! If I zoom way out on the map you can see a ton on the East Coast in the major cities but virtually nothing here in the west coast. I have one other scanner app that's very accurate and it finds Pokemon wherever I am. It's exactly what pops up in the game. I opened the game and made sure to go where a Pokemon spawned. I opened my good app and it showed the Pokemon. I then opened this app and scanned and it showed me all the spawn points but said there were 0 Pokemon found. I was literally standing right next to a Pokemon. I'm giving this two stars for now until it starts working for me. I guess it's just another one of those apps that only works in big cities with tons of Pokemon Go activity. I like seeing stops and gyms and nests. It is sort of handy to see the spawn points too, but that's all it's good for at the moment because it doesn't find any Pokemon ever. Also the update took away the option to chose what you want to search for and display on the screen. There are spawns all over the place and it's cluttering up the map, I would rather be seeing Pokemon displayed on there instead. Hopefully this is an issue that can be fixed soon, I'll give this app another chance but it won't get more stars until it works like promised.
