What are IVs?
IVs are hidden bonus stats (from 0 to 15) that add up to a Pokémon’s 3 main stats, which are Attack, Defense and Stamina. For instance, if a Pokémon has IVs of 15(atk.) / 15(def.) / 15(stam.), then it is a perfect one (100% perfection), and these 100% are of course very rare!
The in-game Appraisal feature is a great way to get a first evaluation of the overall quality of a Pokémon, but to get more data about it, you’ll have to go online to use various IV / CP calculators which are not always very accurate and not so easy to use.
