Bait and Switch

This vendor makes its hosted podcasts available through normal RSS feeds but if you try to this to those episodes after you subscribed you are told you can’t listen to them. You have to go to their website. Because I really wanted to give this podcast a try (Classic Poetry Outloud) I took the bait and downloaded the app. In a real middle finger to users you must register to hear the podcast. Then the podcast app is at best second rate compared to something like PodCruncher. Key defect, it won’t automatically skip ahead to next episode. All-in-all this comes off as a scam.

Horrible experience. I tried everything to login the app. I even tried creating a new account. Nothing worked. No response from support. I gave up.

Podomatic is priced better than most and easier to use. Love to download episodes to listen to on the road without internet.

This is a great app. Simple layout with logical controls make using a breeze! The visual progress wheel is a great way to track your episode.

I love PodOmatic because it's simple to use and works perfectly anywhere you go. I love that you are notified when there is a new podcast by those you follow. I've not had any problem with this app. I hope you give it a try.
