Using the Math Machine videos, children will learn words used to analyze data, such as more, fewer, same, most, least and others. They will then apply their knowledge by sorting, counting and comparing hats and outfits as they sort hats and outfits by size to help Pocoyo and his friends get ready for fun!
With the support of this unit children will:
• Organize data by gathering, sorting and classifying objects into categories.
• Identify the position of the items in the categories.
• Count and compare the number of objects in two sets (up to 5 objects) by counting, matching, sorting or subitizing.
• Explore, learn and use mathematical language related to data analysis
• Build fluency in oral English
