Still calming and very slow to earn koins if you don’t have money to spend.

Great concept, needs improvement

I love the way this app gives you a feel of really looking into a pond. I wish that A) it was easier to win coins/credits/points... the way to move up is sooo slow and the shortcuts of spending money are sooo expensive. B) there should be a hibernation option so that if you have to leave for a few days, you don’t come back to a pond full of dead fish and a hefty fee to revive them. Thanks!

Love this game! But...

Update Feb. 2, 2019 I’m very upset because my game started crashing yesterday every time I tried to open it. I can login to the game on my wife’s phone, but not on my phone. I’ve tried every possible suggestion made to fix it, but nothing works. I contacted the app guy, but haven’t heard back. I’ve spent some money on this game and want to keep playing. I absolutely love this game and play it way too often! It’s really fun visiting other people’s ponds and feeding their fish. One thing I hate is the way fish die if not cared for enough. It’s depressing visiting ponds that sometimes are full of dead fish. Please change this!!! I also wish it were easier to accumulate coins without buying them. It’s frustratingly slow to move ahead in this game without spending money and I’m getting close to discontinuing because of this. Please lower the price of coins needed to move ahead. Also, it would be great to get coin rewards for helping take care of other people’s fish. In spite of all this, I’m addicted to this game!!!!

So far so Good.

Downloaded this game after playing Ponds 2 and running out of things to buy. This one has great variety and I thoroughly enjoy the relaxing effect of the koi. This one is more challenging to earn money and the prices are higher for the items than in Pond 2. But with patience and breeding skills I should have 6 ponds in 2 weeks. It is very relaxing and fun to watch the growth. My granddaughter enjoys feeding and catching new koi.

Update anytime?

9/2/19 Still hoping for an update sometime as it’s been a couple years now. I’ve got 2 ponds that are basically ‘stuck’ for some reason. I can still put fish in & out of them which is cool, otherwise I’d probably delete this game. But, I can’t do anything else with the 2 ponds; I can’t remove the last couple pieces of patio stuff from either of them so I can’t delete or sell them which is very annoying; the game just quits when I try. I’m on a new iPad so I doubt it’s me. The problems make me hesitant to spend money on this game though I’d like to keep breeding koi & have more ponds - I guess we’ll see. ? 2/14/19 Well, this is very depressing. Now the game is crashing every time I try to place or change something. I wonder if anyone has ever heard back from the dev? I’ve sent a couple emails but haven’t heard anything. I’m a longtime player of this game & the old PPond2, but I’m about ready to give up on this one. It’s very hard to get anywhere when it continually crashes. ? 4/11/18 I guess the server’s back up today, but everyone’s fish are all dead;?what a shame. Many of us put in lots of time creating our ponds. I’m not sure about buying all new fish though. What if this happened again? <sigh> 4/10/18 I see many others can’t get into their ponds either - now I don’t feel so bad! I kept thinking it was me at first. Hopefully all our fish won’t die. [OG July 2017] I was really hoping for an update to PPond2, but instead we have a whole new game? I've been playing pp2 for years & would really have liked to carry over my stuff from the old game instead of having to start from scratch. This new game started out very, very buggy too, so I ended up losing the money I spent at the beginning. Unfortunately now you have to choose between male & female fish, & the daily koi store never seems to have a decent selection of each - besides the fact that all male fish are white & the females black! I very much dislike that as nothing like that happens in nature (that I know of anyway). Of course everything is more expensive (including the cost of koins) & the fish don't seem to move as naturally. I guess the patio thing is okay, but I doubt I'll ever have enough money in the game to utilize that aspect. And you're only given the absolute cheapest fish to start (that have no coin value at all) so how are you supposed to get ahead? Why couldn't we have at least one fish with some coin value? I seriously dislike this system of two kinds of in-game cash! Without spending lots of real money you'll never ever be able to build up your koin currency so keep that in mind. Not real pleased with this, so not sure if I'll keep it around. And what will happen to pp2? I'm still getting warnings that it's slowing my tablet down & I guess at some point it's just not going to work anymore? A real shame after spending all the time I have on that game over the years keeping my koi alive.

First App I Open Every Day

1pin

I open Pocket Pond (the original app) every morning to start my day. I had this app for over 8 years, through 4 different iPhones. I just enjoy the calmness of feeding and watching the fish before I start my hectic day. Thank You and I hope the company keeps updating the app for new OS platforms.

FUN

I LOVE THIS GAME such a fantastic time waster and I love all the vibrant colors?

Fun yet relaxing

I really like this game. The graphics are unique and beautiful. It seems very hard to get koins at first, but once you get enough to start spinning the wheel then you can easily win 10 koins at the cost of 3 about 90% of the time. Once you start accumulating koins easily, you can actually enjoy the game by decking out your pond and patio as well as breeding for the type of koi fish you want. However, you also need a lot of credits to get nice things, and the best way to get tons of credits is to fish for the most expensive koi in the mystery pond and then sell them. It’s easy and fun once you get started. I GIVE THIS GAME A 4/5 STARS BECAUSE i wish there were more environmental options. :) overall a nice game; I love my fish!

A Few Suggestions

I love the game, but the offline mode does not seem to work. This makes it very difficult to check on my koi daily. Secondly, koins are so hard to earn, and so scarce. Maybe you could think about making them a bit easier to earn? Or start out with 20 of them, so you have something to go by? This has really set me back a good bit, and I am only level 4. Otherwise I love this game, it is really relaxing.
