i have had this game for a month or so, and it’s gotten really old really fast. i wanted an app that would motivate me to walk more and make a game out of it. walking in real life does not help this app out at all. walking IRL maybe contributes to 10% of the gameplay. i have 52 million energy saved up, but that’s not the walking kind. there is nothing i can spend that energy on. it just sits there, adding up. the energy i do get from walking can get traded at least, for goods. but it makes a small dent in what i need to progress in the game. getting amethyst is incredibly hard. i’m about 5 worlds in and i need 900 amethyst per plant to unlock it. it takes forever to earn that. by that time i do get it, i have earned 10 million energy. the scale of energy and amethyst is way off. it’s too easy to get energy and too hard to get amethyst. so now i sit, stuck in world 5, needing to unlock 3 plants i’ve already discovered, waiting to save up 2600 amethyst. that’s nearly 150,000 steps in game in order to trade for it. WHYYYYYY?! this game quickly became boring for me. to progress is getting too time consuming and i’m quickly losing interest.
Good, but has a game breaking flaw

I really enjoy this app. I like the cute plants, and the little objectives and things to do keep things fun while you wait on plants to merge and whatnot. That said, it’s become pretty much impossible to progress after a certain point. After I got to the water world, sometimes merging plants would crash the game and upon restart, I would lose the plants I tried to merge and most of the things I did during that play session would be totally lost. I figured out that this happened when there were too many plants on screen, so I was just careful about how much I planted and merged. Same thing in the tropic world, but this time even less plants in the tropic world would crash the game. I could still play it, I just had to deposit everything but the two plants I merged at a time until the world had been cleaned up. Now that I’ve gotten to the zoo world, I can’t merge at all. I merged the first two “starter” plants to get a new plant with no problem, treating it like I treated the tropic world. When I tried to merge another combo, even the same one again, it would crash the game no matter if I had no other plants on screen but the two I was merging. I can’t progress at all any more. I thought I’d wait through a couple of bug fix updates and see if it got fixed before writing a review so I could give it a better star rating, but unfortunately it hasn’t been fixed yet. I would love to give this app the five star rating I think it deserves not counting this crash issue, but until it gets fixed I sadly can’t.
Fun at first, but slows down quickly

This game was really fun at first. However, by the time you unlock the fourth world, it becomes painfully slow and difficult to get new plants. I need 1.17 k amethysts to unlock a plant, that’s 60,000 steps. Decide for yourself whether you have the patience!
Having problems

So I really like this game but it forgets to save sometimes so when I go back to play the stuff I had done isn’t there. Also, it seems to be crashing a lot for me which also means it doesn’t save what I had just done. Just this morning I’ve had to do the EXACT SAME THING 3 times because of it crashing. I have to do it again but don’t want too because I’m afraid of it crashing again. I hope this gets fixed soon.
