If you want real piano sounds then buy a piano. I like this app way better than virtuoso piano. More flexible.

Record ideas, practice eartraining, pick out melodies, write a song when no one is looking. Brilliant app, best piano app for iPhone. Work on your music anywhere for only $.99? Genius

As a songwriter I need something quick and on the spot to work out progressions. The pocket Piano app is just the ticket, fast, simple, and lets me record the idea.

I'm pretty unhappy with this application. Cons: - The keys at the very edges of the screen won't work unless you press them a bunch of times. - Small keys - only 2 octaves - doesn't sound like a real piano - some keys have a higher volume than others Pros: - Double Keyboard - Different settings for sizes of keys (all keys are extremely small though)

The keyboard doesn't go higher than high C, so the range is limited. This is a problem in several ways. First, most songs go higher than high C. Second, move to a different key, then you have to go lower, which it does, but this is not desirable if you need the higher register. At times, the high C doesn't sound when you press it. The two keyboard feature is good.

I really like it. It works well for me. Of course it doesn't sound like a real piano. But think about it. Compare a piano with an iPod. How could a small little electronic make the same sound as a huge grande piano. No offense to the people who do not like it. I think it's worth the money. :)
