Arrival times can be accessed using WiFi, 3g, and Edge. Route and stop information is saved on your device so you can view them offline. If MUNI has a major route change, simply press one button and Pocket MUNI will download all of the updates.
Vehicle locations are not always available, but this will not affect the accuracy of arrival times

Finally I can get the status and the location on the same screen! It loads and updates in seconds. I can switch the direction of travel with one click. I change rout and location with 3 clicks, and they even suggest the most likely stop on the rout (suppose the one you are closest to), so you don't have to scan through the long list. All of this means that I can seat on the toilet in the morning with the comfort of knowing where my next muni is. Quality of life improved!
Relies on NextBus

Unfortunately this app like most if not all the others relies on NextBus for vehicle arrival times. For some reason NextBus has become so unreliable as to be almost useless. So beware of relying on the arrival times posted by this app. GPS location of vehicles shown still seems to be accurate, for whatever that's worth.

It's totally useless software. It worked once and every time I open it and try to update the bus times it crashes. I wouldn't mind if the software was free, but this is terrible.

Use to love and rely on this app 2 & 3 times a day. Now with latest update I can't even get it to open in IOS 6. Come on!!!! Fix it already! I've emailed the developer with out any reply. Sad to see a good app go to waste.

Until just now (November 7, 2014), the app worked fair enough for the most part, but now with a new update they have missing routes that don't show up at all. 108 is only one of them, and for that I'm standing in the bus stop for well over 20 minutes for absolutely no good reason.
Works offline, in Notification Center, partially.

I bought this app because it said it could show predictions in the Notification Center, and that it would continue its predictions if I go offline. The in-app predictions continue offline, but not those in the Notification Center. Also, I wish it gave the option to show in the lock screen's Notification Center.
