Back to the basics... kind of

Its almost the original pocket mine though it has crates from pocket mine 2, monsters, and gear. The new sound effects and design makes it look nice too. Would recomend if you want a combination of oldschool and new.

Pocket Mine 2 was an excellent game to carry around and play when you get a quick break but the sequel introduces monsters which often appear and do 2x damage to you pick. On an 8x level that 16 damage and if a few drop from above or you run into a few at a time you'll be destroyed in a moment. You're only other option is to tap like mad at the screen to try and hit during their .5 second of "surprise" which will inevitably lead to you mining useless areas around the monsters and in effect damaging you pick without hitting the monster (who will then damage your pick...). Too bad, not a great mechanic.
