I can't connect the vpn even when I try manually and it just disables it when I try.

It works without the vpn, the vpn is only for auto updates so select a option and exit out!

Hasn’t been updated in over a year. Needs update to iOS 12 having issues on latest iOS.

Have been a fan of the “plug series” from Innovative Developers LTD for a while. So far, haven’t had any problems however if I do they usually respond in a timely manner!
