Pleco is the sine qua non for learning Chinese; it is the single most important tool for any, and every, level of Chinese study that one can have on their tablet or smart phone. I bought my iPad Pro - no small expense - basically to install Pleco on it. Every time I open Pleco, it totally blows me away! If you study, you need Pleco. I urge you to get their best bundle. You will want the handwriting and scanning modules.

Honestly an awesome dictionary. I love the variety of settings you can change to display both traditional and simplified, and the inclusion of jyutping for Cantonese. Even without purchasing anything there is already plenty of info-rich entries in the dictionary. Get this app if you’re studying Chinese!!!

This app does what it’s job better than anything on my phone. Chinese is beautiful and I can go as deep as I want into any character or word and see all the components that make it up and everything it is a part of. Really helps me understand Chinese at a deeper level than just trying to memorize things. Learning Spanish, I need to write my own entries in Anki, switching back and forth with google translate.. feels primitive after using Pleco
