Deployed an Ampache server from github + ampache, using developer checkout on my home machyine. This is the only player I found that supports both FLAC and the older Subsonic API backend. Equalizer, Gapless playback, album art, the works just work out of the box. Thanks guys!

The best Subsonic app by far, you can see your starred songs and offline mode is better than the other Subsonic apps I've used.

The app is great. This is hands down the best subsonic iOS app, and I've tried them all. The developer is super responsive to questions/problems, which is a HUGE plus in my book!

I use this like my "personal spotify" with Subsonic. It's well and above the quality offered by much more expensive subscription services. it handles high quality music files in an intelligent and intuitive manner, in a gorgeous UI. my only complaint is that I cannot make the size of the tiles smaller when scrolling through artists or browsing my folders. i rely on my meticulously organized folder structure to find things and i have a large collection so i have to scroll a lot using this app since i can only fit 6 items on my screen at a time, while the search feature works well it's not great for browsing. aside from this minor complaint, this app works well, is stable, and does exactly what I need it to. I recommend this app if you are looking for something to use with Subsonic.

Just updated new version with new logo and selecting the Recently Added causes the app to hang - it was fine before update.

The latest update seems to only deliver a new icon, which is nice. The app is great, though. It's inspired me to clean up my metadata and download higher resolution album artwork.

It's official, the new 'best' subsonic client for iOS. I cutover from iSub and couldn't be happier.

iSub has been my client for years, even though Ben isn't working on it anymore. I've tried all the other Subsonic clients repeatedly and there was just never anything to replace iSub. With recent updates, play:sub finally gets there. I'm not 100% sure I'll switch permanently, but at first glance it feels like it's going to work. Still would like to see a few "wish list" features added (playback speed, audiobook filtering, a dedicated "cached" list in the menu), but the major features work well.

Been using this for around a year, but if Subsonic is what you use this is your app. It makes sense, is well laid out, and darn near perfect.
