First off, great game. I’ve been improving consistently. One problem is that the game calls stalemate too often. I’ve been ahead by many points with multiple queens and it’s called stalemate. Another thing, change pieces and board doesn’t work. It makes the app quit.
It really helped me play and understand this awesome game. Now I’m playingChessthis game with my dad every day!
Even though I’m not a prodigy like Magnus himself, I feel like I’m constantly improving my chess game as a result of the customizable difficulty. Additionally, this game is fun for me thanks to the simplicity of its layout.
I've had this app for a couple of years. It keeps removing good features that were free and makes them premium. -Or charges you more. So, it's disappointing to see the app giving people less and less. Pros: Interesting game play. It genuinely feels like a different player when playing Magnus at varying ages. Each game is different. Cons: See above complaints about charges, etc.
Crashes when you try and change pieces or boards on multiple devices and does not restore purchases…
There is no sound from the videos. I tried installing several times and checked the settings. Plus I tried with my iPad and iPhone. Still no sound. It is a shame.
Is always good to see how insignificant your skill at chess are compared to a genius
I think this game is great. My one problem with it is the ai. I’m at age seven and the ai seems to be all about her the place. For example I would win a game with moderate difficulty, then the next game the ai would get a big boost in skill level. I would obviously lose, then the next game he would sacrifice his queen for no reason whatsoever.
I am a beginner chess player that has been playing on and off for a few years, and I really like the ability to play the world champion at all different stages in his life. It is nice that it gives you a description of how good he is at the time instead of a scale of 1-10. This is a good app and I would recommend it to any level of player.
