Fun and addictive!

Texanator

Mostly logical play from the AI. Sometimes overplays trump but otherwise fairly competitive. I find myself winning about 65-70% of the games, though. Could be more aggressive bidding to prevent a win with a low bid. But I still enjoy it. So few 500 games available.

AI will consistently run out of trump instead of holding on to some (or at least 1) to get back in control. Have lost a lot of winnable hands this way. (and set some winnable hands for the opponents, as well) Makes me feel as though I am teaching my kids all over again, except talking to the AI just makes me out as an psycho. Other than that, not bad. Wish it would be limited to a low bid of 7, tho. 6 is just too easy to make most of the time.

Frustrating good game

Eagle Eye 2

Like the game, but there are glitches. Last game opponents score never went down when they lost hands. Game didn't acknowledge when we won. AI nearly always trumps my ace and runs through all trump when in lead. Frustrating. Please update this wonderful game. Now it is frozen and I can't play.

Best out there but not great

The classic 500 game must not be all that popular based on how few apps there are out there. This is the best. The layout is clean and easy to use. It would be much better if more options were available like one round bidding and 5 card middle. And it is in desperate need of card playing and bidding logic improvements. Why bid 8 hearts when 6 hearts will win the game and everyone else passed? Why trump your partner's High off suit when you are last to play and you have junk to sluff? I just pretend my partner is a novice just learning so it's still fun.

AI can be improved

When partner opens w/ a 6bid, and you raise it to 7, partner shouldn't reraise to an 8 bid. When you have the lead, and partner has offsuit, partner shouldn't trump your perfectly good trick. Should sluff a card instead. When opponents are out of trump, shouldn't be leading trump.

Has improved my game tremendously

Casual movie watcher

As many have said, AI is not perfect and at times frustrating. However, once you figure out its quirks, it's very easy to use the weaknesses to your advantage. Playing thousands of hands over several years has immensely improved my bidding and confidence when playing with friends. (Even though the rules are different for the version we play). Would like it if the bidding "wheel" still had the suit icons instead of just the words.

Bizarre at best

Love 500 but this is bizarre at best. Wish i500 was still around :-(

Poor play

jnvlz

Partners trump good tricks. Seems my hands are mostly 3 3 and 2 2 suits. Can rarely bid. Will delete

Enjoyable game

kspell13

I really enjoy this game. It's fun and relaxing. My only complaint is that I wish the partner wouldn't try to overbid my bid and would work with me better when playing. Because my partner plays all of its trump right away, it ends up taking mine and then we miss our bid. But it won't stop me from playing if. I would just love to see some improvements. I also wish my partner wouldn’t trump in when I have the trick. I often have an ace or king trumped early in the game when the opponents are likely to have those suits. Because of this, we often end up losing the hand.

Could be great if...

KatyaFox

1) Choice to set kitty to 5 cards if desired 2) Better partner logic. Partner makes strange plays like trumping unnecessarily or taking trump away from partner unnecessarily It would also be helpful if discard were done so that cards went into hand to better see what you are doing before finalizing the discard
