So fun to watch the world on my phone!

I wish more cameras were working, but I love looking at other countries and find it fascinating! I watch it everyday and a lot at night. It's amazing that you can see on the other side of the world with a tap of a button. Please make more cameras available. This is great and I thoroughly enjoy it.

June 31 2017 edit This is an update to my original review. Planet Cam remains one of the best of 2 or 3 web cam apps in the store, especially considering the better video quality. I just wanted to add few suggestions as I believe the apps has serious potential to become very popular. My personal take on things I'd like to see added or changed: 1. The location selection is good but I'd like a "Select All" option just for quick browsing (I don't suppose it's possible to have a way to select "All in Daylight" is there?). Would be great but require a lot of process code to do that so I'd guess not. 2. My opinion of the sponsored ads hasn't changed, it's a classy way to do it. I actually like quite a few of them and that they take me to the websites directly, but It would be nice to have a "Select sponsored" option to allow them all to be grouped at the beginning. I particularly like the travel items, especially the one about the Catskills and a few others but they can be hard to find again mixed in as they are now. I suspect that tastefully done, well controlled and grouped by similarity the sponsored ads could become popular in their own right. Take ravel sites for instance, grouped together with same location lodging, dining and so on and it could become popular in the app just by itself. I know I wouldn't mind as I travel a lot. There is potential here, it's hard to get eyes on sponsored ads but, correctly done, the app could generate a lot of revenue without annoying anyone because many, including me would come back often just for the sponsored content! 3. Allow user site additions and comments. I know the locations and other bits of info about some shown and some that are missed, I'm sure others do as well and it would add to the site inventory and supplementary information. I know this would require a central database to collect and distributed from, a necessary expense, but possible worth it. 4. I hate it when the full screen ad blocks everything, can't those be classy as well and go into a box like the others? As those are now they just don't fit the decor of the app. 5. Make that hourglass smaller, that giant one that pops up is course and just doesn't fit well either. This is the Original review: I probably have every decent web cam app in the store, many of them are tired, haven't been updated in years and IOS is warning me that many of them are so out of date that they will not work on the next IOS release. This app has ads but for the most part they aren't over the top, in fact, I even see certain possibilities for including them, the authors got something here, he includes ads in a tasteful way as just another cam window, I can open it or not and some have even been useful. If the cam windows were to give a look around a local car dealer, store, etc. I could easily see the potential for localizing, something no one else is doing. All in all, the app works well, it has very good video quality and deserves some attention to detail and more exposure. In addition, somehow it presents views that none of the other web cam programs seem to be able to find. Well worth a look around, the free version has ads but otherwise seems fully functional. It's quite fast and the image quality is excellent, better than almost any of the other apps.
