The Better DeviantArt

Obscured Titan

Uploading art on Pixiv is very easy and well organized. Allowing up to more than 10 and beyond artwork (with storage limitations of course) can be a very good way to create collages or groups you’d like to post. The community is very nice and are respectful. It is primarily a Japanese website, but you can still communicate in English so there is no need to worry if you’re having trouble using it. Pixiv is a very good site to go to for sharing your art and helping out one another for feedback. I’d highly recommend it.

Nice App

EmoticonYT

So it's a great app but the only thing I have a problem with is when you like someone's art, you get the same character over and over. Some people might like that, but I personally look at the art style not the character as much. So it can be hard to get out of the "character loop." But it's still the best app I've used to look at anime/manga.

Better than dA

And I mean better all around inside and outside the app. Haven't experienced any huge slowdowns, crashes, or unresponsiveness when interacting. Being able to support more adult content, this is during the tumblr meltdown of flagging everything as nsfw to be nuked or banned mind you, where dA is wishy-washy more dependent on the mod is a plus too. Artists and writers have distinct separate categories that work too, rather than everything getting the same looking thumbnail.

Love the site but...

I love the website but the app won’t work I get unknown error when I try to log in and have gotten no help from support

Fantastic app, if it worked

Zonreo

I love Pixiv and honestly, from a usability standpoint, this app is fantastic. It’s clean and easy to use. In many ways, I like the app more than the site itself. Unfortunately, the app crashes every 5-10 minutes, like clockwork. Since I am strictly an English speaker who cannot easily search many of the artists by name, this crashing has caused me to lose many artists I was interested in before I could follow or bookmark them. And obviously it causes me to lose my place when browsing in general. Also, as a premium member, it would be nice if the app supported artist sorting, which it doesn’t. Kinda lame since I’m paying for that feature and I can’t do it unless I’m at my computer. Honestly, if the crashing was fixed, that would immediately bump this review up to 4 stars. Add in sorting and it would be 5, easily. But in its current state, it’s kind of a mess. Crashing this often is inexcusable.

I would really appreciate you guys checking out the app for iPhone 6 12.1.2. The app still randomly closes on its own and has been doing so since iOS 10
