Can't access shared photos to upload. Need this feature.

Stable App, Good Support
ismilez

This is the first version of the ios app that works with the pix-star wi-fi frames (you need one to use this app). The app works and is stable and snappy, but doesn't seem to have a lot of advanced functionality just yet (still in 1.0). With the app, I can now send/upload photos from my phone to my frame(s), without using the native email app. It shows the frame(s) in an easy-to-use list, and you can select more than one pic to send. The dev's are really great with support - actually, they are *outstanding*. Just an optional note: before you install, make sure you lift any photo or location app restrictions you may have previously put in place and then, upon opening for the first time, be sure to allow the app access to your photos. You can re-set the restrictions after that, if you want. This won't be an issue for most users. I appreciate the stability of this app, ease-of-use, the helpful developer(s), and look forward to more functionality as they develop it further. (Wish list: Manage frame settings/web albums; Upload one pic to a pre-set or variable group of frames, etc.) PS - their frames are super great!! (I have/manage a few & am an avid photographer) ?

It makes loading pictures onto the pixstar digital frame easier/faster from the phone. I have two Pixstar frames one for my wife's mother and one for my mother and I can manage them from my home very easily. I also have a Nixplay just because I really like the motion sensor feature. However the Nixplay software is just not quite up to snuff yet. But they are working on it. I found the customer support from both of these companies excellent. I would definitely recommend this app when you get a Pixstar frame.

Easy

Very simple and easy to upload photos!

Love it

Finally I can send pictures that don't get resized from my iPhone 6+, so far zero problems!

Close But

It would be great to be able to manage photos on a frame you own. Also even BETTER would be to have the app mark which photos you've sent to the frame already. Something that can't be done from email easily. How about integration with LifeCake? I'd even pay more for that feature.

App works. Needs improvement.

App works. Needs improvement. This app allows me to easily send photos from my phone to the frame but some basic improvements would make huge differences in functionality. Biggest would be the ability to select photos from more than a tiny thumbnail which makes it extremely difficult to quickly send the best pic from a group of similar ones. Also, the ability to see what has already been sent, to avoid sending duplicates. We have another company's frame and while we like the pix-star frame better, the app is lagging behind.

Do Nothing App
Roseola

I give this a zero star. Nothing is there. It opens to a page to list contacts and that's it. I have no intention of re-listing my contacts on this App. I thought the App was to expedite the transfer of pictures, mine and others, to the frame. There are no pictures available on the App, just the contacts page. I don't need this. I could just send my pictures directly through my email account without the bother of writing in every contact from my list! Am I missing something? The above is someone else's review, however I totally agree with everything written. You can't even get your "review" right. I have more than 1,000 pictures but your App shows less than 10! The only page I get is the Contacts page with NO CONTACTS accessible. Why do I need this?????? I deleted this App at first and then thought it didn't have time to update photos or contacts. Reloaded today and NOTHING'S CHANGED. I'm done!

Works as it is suppose to

Its very important to realize that if you do not have a pix-star email account you cannot transfer any pictures (contacts). The company should change the wording from contacts to pix-star email address. You can create an email address on the pix-star web site. This email address will be specific to your wall unit. When you have your pix-star email address you will use the + on the app to input your email address. After that, the app asks for photo permission and then you can add pictures. After you add pictures, you can then select up to 30 pictures at a time to transfer to the wall unit. After about 5 minutes you will have messages or "photo mail" in your pix-star wall unit. Use the remote to select or accept the pictures you sent. You must have wifi setup in order for the internet to send the pictures to the wall unit. So basically you set up a pix-star email account, the app sends your phones pictures to this account, then the internet transfers the pictures via the pix-star email account to the wall unit. Its like sending an email with picture attachments. Had no problem.

Ok, but needs work

The app does what it's supposed to, but it only shows about 10% of my photos on my phone to select from. There seems to be something wrong between the app and the photos library.
