Not very impressed

Like most games, only two or three levels are available without spending money. It's an alright App. The directions are verbal only, and very robotic sounding. I wish there were written directions available for the hearing impaired/loud environments where it's difficult to hear. Of the three games available without buying the whole thing, I suppose they're semi-educational. In the main game you shoot or touch what the side panel shows you and when you do it a certain number of times you get a new pirate character. You also only get a limited number of cannonballs, so you have to practice conservation at least - so like I said, somewhat educational. To get more cannonballs you have to play other games. There are two available without buying: the ghost where you color the letters and it at least tells you what the letter is (my favorite since we are focusing on the alphabet right now) and one where you gather the specified fruits and vegetables. Overall, not very impressed.
