Good & fun

Just got this app for my iPad 3. I was having difficulties using Google for reverse image searches, even with the Chrome app (to date no extension for iPad). So this app allows you to take a picture or upload one from your device. It instantly connects to reverse search engines Google, Tineye, and Karma something. So that's the cool thing about this app -- you can actually use these search engines from a mobile device. And then it will tell you about matches found on these search engines. It's important to note that this app isn't doing the searching. Therefor the searches are only as good as the engine it uses. Interestingly, Google did the best by far. I tried images from newspapers of famous people. Google located my original sources plus other ones AND came up with images of the same people. Tineye occasionally came up with sort-of matches. According to that Karma search engine...well, these famous people hardly exist. Incidentally, Tineye also didn't do well directly on their website, either (at least with my lesser-known -- but web published-- photos). Google didn't find any of my lesser known photos either. However, they always came up with an interesting collage of images with similar characteristics. This could prove useful. I didn't see any way to enter a photo's URL, though. Seems like this would be a good addition. BOTTOM LINE: easy to use and compare search engines. As these search engines improve, this app will become even more valuable. Works. Worth the small fee.

Broken??

This app used to work and now when I put in a picture nothing comes up, it is just a blank white screen?! Please fix!! I paid for this!!!!

Broken App
AYO2012

Can I have my money back? Saw the other reviews but thought you maybe it was just user error or something but legit does not work. I get the same thing.. a blank white screen. It's only $2 but it's the principle. People shouldn't have the privilege to profit of broken products.

I got it working!
EiBabe

I originally had the same issue but by setting the image size to small and turning on the other search engines in settings. It works for me now but I am not sure which one fixed it. More good news, it works pretty well between the different search engines.

:)
MariyaIsAwesome

Great for checking if people are fake or not.

Works fine for me!!!!
VEryDissApionted

iPhone 4s, original OS (4.whatever)... Helped me spot a fake who was claiming another's art work as his own... A total keeper for me! Maybe it has a problem with the new iPhone and OS? I don't know..

Underrated!
TeslaFox

This app is an app that does its purpose! It cross checks pictures through multiple sources to see if they are traceable to the net! This app is way underrated and more people should know about it!

Amazing
ExplosiveOctopus

Have been looking for an app like this. Love how it searches multiple engines and I love the Karma Decay feature :)

Problems
OTHjunkie

It does what it's supposed to, but this app force closes out of nowhere. The google search is the best, but I wish it searched social media networks as well. It's ok except for the forced closing.
